The stainless is excellent. Yes, you will be a spot of rust here and there in the salt - which is easily rubbed off with steel wool and a spot of oil. The price is so affordable, the knife is light, SUPER durable, sharp as heck, and the metal is shiny to boot. First thing I did with this knife was cut up some branches in my backyard for kindling and do a little whittling, about a month later my girlfriend needed me to make a small incision on a baby bottle, cut like a dream. I had let it sit in my closet for a bit (too hot recently to camp) but the blade is just as sharp as when I bought it and not a lick of rust, and I’m pretty bad about remembering to clean blades after use. You CANNOT go wrong buying this knife, don’t let the “not full tang” discourage you, it’s tough, it’s sharp, and it’s cheap if you do somehow end up breaking it you can easily get another. No problems with shipping and it came in on time.
