VERY happy!
EXTREMELY happy with our purchase of this gun cabinet. When delivered, the outside box was somewhat beat up - BUT the actual cabinet was in perfect condition! Very happy with this item. We did make a few small modifications - on the right side where the rifles are against the right outside we drilled two holes and where the top rest for the guns is so our AR's will fit properly. Took a few minutes to do with a drill - no problem. We also left one of the shelves off in the left-hand side as it would have been too close to the top to use for anything but small items and we decided we could use the extra space in a different way.Remember, this is a gun CABINET! It is NOT a friggin' safe! If you need and/or are looking for the piece of mind of keeping your items locked away in an impenetrable item - SPEND THE MONEY ON A SAFE! Plus we don't have any curious kids to worry about trying their ingenuity to get into this item. It is along the same lines of thickness as a filing cabinet - hence the name GUN CABINET.We just needed something to keep our guns and certain other items locked away and to make it a heck of a lot harder just in case someone breaks in to grab it and go. Most thieves aren't going to spend a lot of time trying to break into something especially after they've broken into your house - they want to grab and go.Got it while it was on-sale and am very happy with item and pricing. Wish they'd had the black cabinet cheap also, as I would have preferred the black one - but when the green was around $100 cheaper? We went with the green. LOL

Damaged and missing the keys
This seems to actually be a quality product, very sturdy and well made. However the third part seller who actually shipped the item packaged it in a very thin cardboard box that doesn’t event fit tightly. There was no padding or corner protection at all. The corners of the unit were all bent, multiple dents throughout the unit. Scratches. And after all that, it came with 0 sets of keys. Yes that’s right people. Dented, scratched, and no keys to open this trash up with. Stack on great quality. However this seller should not be selling on this platform. Very dissatisfied, Amazon had my back though. They requested the seller have the item picked up from my home at the sellers cost of course and give me a full refund. thank you Amazon, I will continue shopping on your platform.

This is a good cabinet. Fit and finish are decent
This is a good cabinet. Fit and finish are decent, assembly is easy. The peel and stick foam minimizes the clang you might expect from the sheet metal. Shipped from Chicago via USF Holland, who did a nice job.I suggest a light kit, or you will not be able to see what you are doing inside. Amazon carries a 6 LED strip, motion activated kit from TorchStar that is perfect for this cabinet. Install before you set the shelves, or you will have to remove them to do a nice job. Humidity may be an issue for someI keep this in the garage. I built a plywood and 2 x 4 base with leg levelers and secured cabinet to base and wall, and it is very solid. I thought the right side would only handle 4 or 5 long guns without them getting beat up. But I really do think I can go up to 7 or 8 without much trouble. The left side is filled with 5000 rounds and three handguns in their gun rugs. This cabinet is full!I am and active shooter: at the range twice per week, and shoot clays at least once a week. I was looking for something to keep my most used guns handy, organized, and moderately secure. This cabinet, combined with the light kit, really did the trick.

It works for my needs.
I just received this the other weekend and I am happy with it. I have two children that we are primary trying to keep out as oppose to being worried about this being fire proof, etc. This is a cabinet as it states not a safe. Think of the same material used on a filing cabinet and turn it into a gun cabinet with a better lock. Good price for what you get in my opinion. It does come with shelves and padding you have to put in yourself. The padding for the shelves just sits in there. The ones for the rifles/shotguns you peel off the paper on the back and stick it in yourself. The instructions are pretty clear for piecing the shelves and things together. I would definitely recommend assembling this in a well lit environment before putting it in a corner, or against a wall as some of the screws have to come in from the outside of the cabinet. No tools were included. You'll want a socket wrench set I think it was 7/16ths, wrench, and a Phillips head screw driver around. My fiance' and I did not elect to "anchor" this thing down and I can tell you that I would highly recommend it, if you are allowed to put holes in your walls, as I am not. This "anchors" into studs in your wall to hold it in place. Sitting it on our carpet it was wobbly while empty. Luckily, I had enough ammo and things to put in the bottom to weight this down and it wasn't a problem. The shelves on the sides are big enough to put two large auto pistols next to each other. Some of the plastic handgun cases I have didn't fit on the shelves because they were too wide. I ended up putting a lot of miscellaneous items and ammo in the bottom left of the door. The rifle side works well.PROS:-There is a separate key for each side and it comes with two sets of keys.-There is plenty of space for your rifles or shotguns.-This is good for keeping people or kids away from your weapons.-Several shelves and rifle/shotgun rests to make organization handy.CONS:-This is not fireproof.-This needs to be anchored down to really work well.-Left hand cabinet is a little narrow.-Some assembly required after receiving it.-Weighs about 130 lbs so you may want a hand getting it where you desire.
