I work in construction and go through a belt every few months. I don't know if you can break this thing. Buckle is a little big to fit through most belt loops but the one side of the buckle slides off easy so you can thread it through the loops on your pants. Sounds like a pain but it really isn't it takes just a second to slide off the buckle and to put it back on. The adjustment holds good and tight which is what I was worried about. I've been using it daily now for several months and I've never had to readjust it while wearing it and with my line of work and this type of belt I think that's impressive. I'm up and down ladders and crawling through tight spaces all day. I bought it solely based on looks but it did not dissapoint. It's a little bit different to get used to but worth the effort. It was tough to get it set to the right tightness. You can't really tighten it while theres tension on it so it take some trial and error but it only took a minute. Now it stays set to the proper size and just clips right on. I'm a 32" waist and I trimmed the strap probably 6 inches to eliminate some excess.
