Fresh tasting
This kit contains the hummus mix, and then a tiny vial of olive oil. The only extra ingredient you need is water. It is very easy to prepare: just add the hummus mix and oil to about 100ml of water. This mixes very easily. In a few seconds and with a spoon, I had a nice creamy ready-to-eat hummus. The basil is very forward in the mix, both in the flavor and in the coloring of the hummus. The texture is very smooth, but mildly grainy. I enjoyed mine with freshly baked bread. Also, I tried this with sesame dressing and I got a creamier, nutty hummus mix which was really tasty. My only gripe is that each pack makes just about 100ml of hummus. It is not a whole lot. So while this is quite tasty and convenient to have on hand, the experience is over just as you begin to get into it.

Very convenient but very expensive
This instant basil hummus is a great idea but wow, it is expensive. It is so quick and easy to make; you just need 100ml of water and a bowl. The hummus has a lovely consistency and you get a small bottle of olive oil to drizzle over the top for decoration. It looks very green and healthy. It doesn’t have a lot of taste but the texture is spot on.What is annoying is that the four cartons are packaged together but only one has the best before end date on it, so you need to make sure you use that one last. Surely it’s not too much to ask to print expiry dates on every carton?Five stars for convenience, four stars for taste/texture and three stars for price.

tastes overall good but expensive, £5 each...
The media could not be loaded. in summary, this is fairly tasty, a little too salty basil hummus if done right, though tastes like pesto at times.I was surprised that each sachet comes with a tiny jar of olive oil that you have to add to the mix.the hummus turns out to be easily spreadable. The ingredients are very good and minimal. The current price at the time of order (£20) makes each sachet worth £5, which is at least 2x the price you can get similar quality hummus from many grocery stores. Do you get a lot of hummus after you have mixed it with water and olive oil? I would say so, it might be even less than you get traditionally in hummus products, i.e 220g+

Not bad, not quite what I expected either, just ok
This hummus mix is decent. I didn't love it and I don't think I would order it again. But it wasnt bad either. I wasnt entirely sure what to expect, but in the end the flavor was kind of muted. I could taste the basil, could tell there was some garlic and then it had some of the chickpea flavor and humus texture. But it didnt have a strong basil flavor like you imagine if you think of pesto. It didnt have a strong hummus flavor like if you think of a plain basic hummus. It was somewhere in the middle of all of that and ended up having some flavor but not a ton and nothing that was a strong flavor in any particular direction. Also being that it was a dried mix that water and a small amount of oil (included) is added to the texture seemed a bit off as well. Basically the best way I can even describe it is that it felt like I was eating a rehydrated powder, not a smooth fresh humus.I am tempted to try turning the second package into part of a sauce base for pasta or something like that to make a faux pesto sauce out of it. I just dont see myself actually eating the second package as is.
