Arrived next day and used the following day and is a neat mat for under my fire pit it provides protection to my decking

We have a homemade burner using washing machine drum, but obviously the drum has holes, so this mat is just perfect for us with having it on the grass, collects the ash's that come through, and easy to tip into the bin when it's time

As this has thermal properties, and it is the right sizing and shape, I have used it underneath my ice pod in the garden to help retain the cold inside it.Shame it doesn't have passing like some but it is fine. The fact that it is underneath my ice pod is good enough for me with the thermal properties hopefully keeping in the cold.

This is an excellent fire pit mat that not only protects your floor but also reflects all the heat back up to ensure better heat spread. Would recommend!

This is good thick PVC vinyl material, with a slightly tacky feel to it. It is well finished with a black webbing edge stitched onto it I will be using it in the summer under our brazier which is just an old washing machine drum, but the size works really well. I had also thought about using the brazier on the lawn with the mat to protect the grass, but unless your grass is cut really short, the mat sinks in and ruffles up around the sides (see photo) so may not be that good for using that way. Excellent on decking though. I would also say that it would need cleaning with a wet cloth, I only put the empty brazier on it and the small amount of ash that dropped onto the mat wouldn’t brush off as the material is quite tacky (due to being non-slip), so if you are like me and want to keep it looking clean, this will require proper cleaning rather than a quick dust off. Not sure if the black webbing around the edge is also fire-proof, so if the edge did get hot coals on it it may possibly burn this meaning the nice, neat edging could come away. Arrived in a re-useable zip-lock bag for storage, which is also a plus point. Current price of around £26 seems fair.

This well-made mat is much more substantial than I had expected it to be. It is quite solid but, despite this, it can easily be folded and fits nicely into its own pouch for storage.Because we currently have snow outside, I have not tested the mat with either the barbecue or the oil drum that we use as a fire pit. However, from the appearance and the feel of the material, I have absolutely no doubts that it will do an excellent job of preventing oil and food stains. It is flame retardant and fireproof but I strongly suspect that direct heat and extremely high temperatures could damage the propylene surface of the mat, so some care will be needed.Since our oil drum/fire-pit does not have legs or a supporting cradle, I shall follow the recommended action shown in the listing photograph and put the drum on to bricks, although I will probably use three bricks; more stable than four.However, with a diameter of 32inches (813mm), the mat wouldn’t cope with both the barbecue and the ‘fire-pit’, so we’ll probably use it exclusively for the barbecue – or buy another.The surface of the mat is very smooth so it was very easy to clean with a spray detergent and a cloth. I deliberately spread some cooking oil and margarine over the mat, and it all wiped off immediately.For me, the 32 inch is a much better option than the 28 inch; and the price difference is currently only £3.I can see this mat becoming a very useful addition to our barbecue arsenal. Roll on summer!

A very hard-wearing, flexible mat that is easy to clean.Check the size by measuring out on the ground, before you order this - the pictures are quite deceptive and it may not be as large as you expect.I'm using this to protect the patio from 'bits' dropping put of a pizza oven and it works well, but it isn't large enough for the entire oven to sit on it.Quite expensive, but considerably cheaper (and less hassle) than repairing a stained or damaged patio.

I wanted something to protect my patio while BBQing over the summer months, so this mat seemed ideal.It's a decent size at 32 inches, which is enough for my mid-sized drum BBQ and it has a good amount of grip to hold it in place.I find that it's easy enough to clean up after use and it does a good job of keeping grease and marks off of my patio, so no issues there.All in all, it's a handy mat for BBQs in the summer.

It was the perfect size for our table.

This mat is perfect, no heat resistance. We noticed that after moving the stove a few times it started to look like scratches, but since using this mat, we haven't seen any scratches anymore. Worth buying

This barbecue mat exceeded my expectations. It is made of materials that are easy to wipe clean and dry quickly. Won't let the grease from cooking on the grill seep in! We are very happy with the construction of the mat and it is worth buying

Good for the price

This is a nice fire resistant mat to keep under a grill or fire pit. It adds a bit of peace of mind when enjoying the grill or fire pit. It should prevent embers from damaging the ground under the fire producing item. I am really happy with it.
