We bought this for a bit of physio therapy for our 3 legged dog and it has worked great for him. I have also used it myself and works just as well.

My Newfoundland dog has osteoarthritis, it worked fine once I could get him to step onto it

I used a balance cushion for myself to help recover from a broken ankle, and was interested to find that they are also useful for dog physio and general fitness. The normal human balance cushions are a bit small for my dog. My dog trainer uses the very expensive ones marketed as dog balance cushions but these are a lot cheaper and seem just as good. My dog is labrador-sized and weighs 28 kg, and he can stand with all 4 paws on this cushion. I'm using to strengthen the ligaments around his hip and shoulder joints, just getting him to use it a few times a week for a few minutes at a time, to hopefully prevent future problems as he ages.

This is big and heavy - so it’s a decent thickness - don’t feel like you’ll puncture it any time soon!The plug on the side doesn’t take a normal football needle valve - you remove it and blow it up using ... whatever you have to hand. You could use your mouth at a push I guess.Hard to know how much air to put in - as you can probably tell from the photos.Finally — it’s pretty damn expensive at £40 !! But the weight shows how much material goes into it.

Bought to use for balance exercises with my dogs, this is the second one bought as so pleased with the first and wanted to do exercises using two also went on to buy a third as a present for friends. I have a mixture of size dogs, and have used this on my small 17 kg dog up to my big boy who is a giant breed and comes in at 86 kg. Was worried that they wouldn't be robust enough but the are and so much cheaper than similar size Cushion sold for dogs which used to be over £100 and now is sold for £60 plus delivery at less than £26 and no delivery charge it's a no contest who gets my money.

No instructions as how best to inflate. Went out and bought all sorts of pump adaptors with nil result Took the valve out finally and used airbed pump. seems fine as its for a friend's dog after leg operation. Please insert some instructions in future.

Comes without a pump. Useless unless you buy one separately.

Bought for dog rehab after spinal surgery. It is more flimsy than the one used by the physio but as that is not available in the UK I will have to make do.
