The Talent Review Meeting Facilitator's Guide: Tools, Templates, Examples and Checklists for Talent and Succession Planning Meetings

I've been applying Doris's techniques at my company for over a year now. It is one of the most comprehensive documents for HR professionals to refer to when development talent management programs for their company. This is her second edition, which incorporates many techniques the author has learned and applied when consulting and teaching her clients the strategy, processes and goals.

I purchased Doris Sims' 30 Minute Guide to Talent and Succession Plan Management and the Talent Review Facilitators Guide and both were excellent reads. The material is easy to read and very straight forward, which I like. I hate when writers take forever to get to the point and these books are definitely straight forward and to the point. Although the books don't focus on predictive analytics or forecasting, but I recommend these books for anyone who is charged with developing or revising their organizations talent management plan.

I am a long time HR generalist professional and this book is a "keeper"I have facilitated talent review sessions in the past but reviewing Doris Sims' book certainly gave me an edge as I prepared managers and senior leaders for the upcoming talent review meetingMy favorite part of this book is the appendix which includes sample agendas, tips for the facilitator, what to do with after the meeting, sample post review surveys - - and much more - i can't name it all.This book reallllly made me the "expert"

Great step by step document for anyone that's looking to implement succession planning in their organization. I met Doris at a conference and her simplicity and to the point thought process interested me. I'm not disappointed. She doesn't get caught in the trivial weeds when explaining the process.

I am using all of Sim's to educate my and guide our process. It is helpful. Moreover, I attended her workshop which provide me with an opportunity to ask a lot of my question in the process and learn from her experience.

This book is well worth the investment. Perfectly written for my needs. I'm a seasoned professional and this guide made sure that I had everything covered for my talent reviews. It did not get into too much detail and assumed, correctly, that I had experiences that I could build on. The content was succinct covering each topic in a page or two. This is a title that should be in every HR/OD professional's library.

I highly recommend this if you are looking for simple guidance on talent review and tools; modify and adjust for your organization. However, this is a great place to start. easy to read. very short.

I needed a refresher on conducting a Talent Review and this guide gave me what I needed.
