CleanCut Convertible Bathtub Accessibility Kit - Convert Existing Tub to Walk-In Tub (White, Size Large)

Great way to convert the bathtub to walk in. I had surgery and needed to be able to get into my tub easier. This was the perfect solution. Very easy to install

I bought this product for my friend who is under Hospice Care. My goal is to help him be independent for as long as he can. He has gotten progressively weaker over time and I feared for his safety every time he had to step into his bathtub, and he is very resistant to having someone help him with bathing. We had researched getting his tub replaced with a shower. Not only was the $7,000 price tag hard to swallow but his anxiety about having his bathroom torn up was even worse. My mother and I were able to install the CleanCut convertible in an afternoon (a little more than 4 hours) while my husband took him out to lunch and shopping. It was a little nerve wracking to install since my friend is a perfectionist but the installation videos were super helpful. The great news is my friend is so happy with the CleanCut he bragged to all his friends about it! He told me it is such a relief to not have to psych himself up to bathe anymore because it is so easy to get into the tub now. I'm so grateful this product exists, Thanks!

We installed the convertible model on a 6" cast iron tub. Dad is having trouble getting in/out of tub. Job took about 5 hours total. We watched the install videos twice before the job, which are incredibly helpful. I am an experienced DIY'er, so I have all the tools and experience. To cut through the cast iron took about 55 minutes with a Dewalt 4.5" grinder, it chewed through 2 blades, so have extra. Highly recommend good mask, full goggles (not safety glasses), hearing protection and full coverage clothing and lots of plastic to cover everything. Half the job is the cutout and then cleanup before you can begin the install. After that, install went great, just like in the videos. We cut and then trimmed to exact fit a few times. It was about 80 degrees in the house, but the glue they provide is still pretty thick and tough to use, so be prepared for that. Definitely use the alcohol to clean the surface before glue goes on. Figuring out the height of the step support (goes underneath the unit to provide support to the actual step) was trial and error, but every tub is different, so not much to do there but check it, cut, check, etc...All in all, videos are a must, good product, good packaging. It will be a big help for an elderly parent.

I used a handyman to get it installed. I lacked the tools and experience with those tools to do it right and if not done right, I would have had to replace the tub ($$$$). Our only problem is just like the others have had. No leakage at the plug, but the sides or bottom of the unit the plug fits in, leak a bit. I have recaulked and need to try again. It's very hard to get the bottom but I think I have a pinhole side leak. I'm not worried about the cosmetics inside as they only show when in the tub. It's only a small leak, less than 1/4 cup over a 1 hour soak.

So far, so good👍. Installation took about 5 hours-videos were extremely helpful. Like other reviews said, needed to purchase the addition of a 2x4 board (as stated in the directions) for tub wall support. Now my 90 year old mother can get in/out of the tub with no assistance-great for her and me (caregiver). The company even complied with my last minute request to change the color from white to beige.

Have a 93 year old mother-in-law living with us who could not step over tub to shower. This CleanCut Convertible kit looks like it will work perfectly. And using the video installation guide it took less than 2 hours to install into our existing steal tub. Perfect solution with minimal cost as compared to replacing tub. Follow the Instructions and the job was successful ....Looks good. Glad I did it myself, and saved money.

I bought this for my mom who is dealing with some mobility issues, and this has made it so much easier for her to get in and out of the shower! The installation isn't too hard if you're handy. I will say that we installed it a little closer to one end of the tub to give more room for her chair, which made the install trickier because we had to account for the tub starting to curve and that isn't taken into consideration in the install instructions. All in all this was a lot easier, cheaper, and faster than remodeling the bathroom to put in a shower, so I call it a win.

The measurements were off. The cut out does not fit. And you cannot return the product. DO NOT BUY. and to top it off you can’t even contact the seller. Nope. Garbage.
