The chin guard was really rough on her face causing rash/rubbing, not sure how we will fix that. The three straps on the helmet are somewhat flexible. She is 5'3 and 115lbs and very happy with how the Large fits. My daughter is proportionately more leg than average which helped with being on the lower end of the Large size measurements. I do believe she could fit the legs on a Medium, but I know she would have grown out of them way sooner than the set would have needed to be replaced. The chest pad extends a little low on her but again, that makes sense to her proportions. Overall, very happy with my purchase. This was a great price point for such a well-made set from a reputable brand.
