Review: Stable - As expected from Silva, this compass is well made and points very well. The needle is large and stable making it easy to take a bearing. Despite being labelled for beginners and kids, it’s suitable for any hiking that can be done in the UK and its light weight and small size makes it a great backup (assuming you use a phone for most navigation).
Review: The batteries wont run out! - I thought theses things were supposed to point in the direction you want to go. But, this only points directly to north??? Guess I'll have to work something out with a map or something. It's certainly small and light weight. Works well in the field. Not as helpful for Nav. as the Expedition 4 for route planning. A basic compass for those who already know how to use one. If you don't buy one you can "Get Lost!" haha

As expected from Silva, this compass is well made and points very well. The needle is large and stable making it easy to take a bearing.
