Great charger for price!!
I love it, works great. Just need to figure out, directions not great and can not change temperature from Celsius to fahrenheit. Otherwise very happy, would buy again for price. Charges and helps save hard to charge batteries!!

Works so far
I had a totally dead generator battery that I charged with this and worked great. There's only one button on the unit so you sort of have to know what you're doing the directions are in tiny print but read them first. You'll need to punch in what type of battery you have then the rest is automatic. Further bulletins as events warrant.

It is okay
Good charger was disappointed that it had to be plugged in to work as I really wanted one for roadside emergencies.

Completa satisfaccion

I do not like this.
I got this because the one that I had was not charging. Perhaps I do not know how to use this one, but I am getting the impression that it has to be plugged in to jump start a car. I could be wrong though. The instructions are not clear. I decided to purchase the kind that I am used to. I never used this and probably never will. It is in my trunk though.

Very small comparatively, kind and of simple BUT IT WORKS!
Even though it is simple, read the instructions. There's a couple of bits of info you need to know to make it work properly. It is smaller than I expected but it does what it is suppose to do. It isn't rugged like the old heavy jump packs so be kind to it. For such a steal it's pretty cool that it does all it does. It even shut itself off. Still waiting to see if repair mode helps. Will let you know. Only real negative thing I can say is cables are too short I can't reach my negative arm that runs from the battery to my actual car (negative post of battery isn't exposed like most).

love the size
this thing is so small! it’s great to have in the vehicle.the display screen is so refreshing.this one is great because it will jump your vehicle without the use of another vehicle!it feels a lot safer than the jumper cable style of jumping.

Works great, and doesn't take up much space.
After my old battery charger died, I've been in need of a new one for a bit last 5 years. Finally bit the bullet and got one. I'm happy with the charger I got.I was surprised when it arrived at just how small it was. I wasn't expecting much out of it because it looks like it's made out of cheap plastic but that doesn't matter when the device works. As far as I can tell, this charger works.I had no battery that hadn't been charged in about 5 years, and I questioned if it was even good anymore. This battery charger let me know that it was indeed dead and wouldn't charge anymore. So that allowed me to free up some space in my shack where it was stored and now I know I need to get a backup battery to replace it.I didn't need a battery charged aside from the one that ended up being dead, but thankfully my uncle needed his battery for the lawn mower charged and I asked him if I could use this as a test. So we hooked it up, left it to charge and after a few hours it was good to go.The thing I like about this compared to the last charger I had was the bright LED display. The last one I had used a little dial with a needle on it to show you how much charge was going through and how much the battery had charged. This one has an easy to read display which makes it easier to understand just how much it's charged and how much there is left to go.Most products I tell you to read the manual to understand how it works, but with this one I would actually suggest keeping the manual around just in case you need to refer back to it as there are various settings that you can choose from and you switch through them using the mode button to the right.Other than that, this is a charger I would recommend. It's quite lightweight, it should fit in anyone's vehicle without taking up much space as it is about the size of an adult male's hand and at $40 with an extra $15 off if you apply the coupon, it's a very good deal. It's a lot cheaper than the last battery charger I had ever purchased, and a lot more compact too.

Lightweight 12V 6A battery charger for home use
The NEXPEAK NC101 PRO 6-Amp 12V Battery Charger is surprisingly lightweight and has a decent build quality. It features an LCD touchscreen instead of traditional buttons, with only a “mode change” button present. However, the AC and charge cables are a bit short at 2 feet each, necessitating an AC extension for automotive use. This charger is capable of charging and repairing lead-acid batteries. To operate it, the battery must first be connected to the charger before plugging in the AC. The charger then performs a quick health check on the battery. Once completed, the AC power can be connected, and the charger begins the de-sulfation process before proceeding to charge the battery.I tested the charger’s repair function on a 20-year-old Panasonic 20AH lead-acid battery that has seen little use since new. Despite my efforts to maintain its charge, the battery failed to accept charge about 2-4 years ago. Honestly, this is an impossible mission! I set the charger to repair mode and let it work on the battery for 6 hours. As expected, the battery did not improve, but this is likely due to the battery’s age rather than a fault of the charger. The use of pulse-charging in repair mode may be beneficial for batteries with minor issues. The charger has a built-in fan similar to a PC switching power supply. While not overly loud, the fan is noticeably louder than that of a PC power supply, especially in a quiet home. During my tests, the charger got stuck in repair mode a couple of times but resumed normal operation when I disconnected and reconnected the AC power. It’s unclear whether this is a feature or a glitch. In conclusion, the NEXPEAK NC101 PRO 6-Amp 12V Battery Charger performs well in charging 12V lead-acid batteries and may improve their performance. However, I didn’t have a slightly-aged lead-acid battery to test the repair function in more detail.

Huge bright display. Simple operation. Works perfectly!
I have owned the same battery charger since 1982. I’m not even kidding. I’m pretty sure it has tubes in it. I store a couple of 6-volt deep cycle batteries that I use hooked up in series in my camper. They reside on a shelf in my basement during the winter months. I used to top them up with my old charger about once a month. It wasn’t ideal. I was looking for a charger that I could leave plugged in that wouldn’t “boil” the batteries dry. IE: A smart charger. I think I found exactly what I was looking for here. When I first hooked it up it displayed the battery voltage (in this case 12.7) proving to me that yes, it had a been a while since I had charged them. I plugged in the charger, and it displayed “PUL” in a flashing format. My first thought was: “Oh man, what have I done? This seems bad”. I looked up the code in the instruction book that came with the charger. No need to panic. That’s the “repair” mode. It activates automatically when a battery is at a very low charge. It is a de-sulfation process that takes a few hours. I keep checking the batteries during this process and they never got warm and did not sound like they were boiling off. After about 4 hours the display returned to a more normal 5.8 amps. That means the batteries were drawing almost all the amperage the charger could deliver. By the time I got up in the morning the display showed “Ful”. Because the process worked so well, I’m not going to take any points off for poor spelling. This charger did EXACTLY what I hoped it would. It fully charged my batteries and then switched into a “maintain” mode all by itself. I will leave it plugged in for the remainder of the winter and hopefully in the spring when camping season returns, I will be all set with fully charged batteries. At a price point of $50 with a $20 coupon (at the time of my order) what are you waiting for? Seriously, you could pay more for a smart charger, but why would you? One note: If you are looking for a Lithium battery charger this is not it. It’s built for GM, GEL, SLA, Flooded lead acid batteries. I’m giving this 5 stars based on it’s performance and price. If it holds up (and I think it will) I think this charger is great value. I recommend this product.

A capable car battery charger with a decent pricetag
Remembering car battery chargers of much earlier days, I expected this one to be both larger and heavier. In the past, a charger with similar capabilities would have a bulky linear power transformer inside it, and large semiconductor devices (rectifier diodes, transistors) mounted on large heat sinks, and the whole thing would weigh a ton. But technology changes, and today it is packing a lot of efficiency and features into a small volume. This modern-looking charger is based on a switch-mode power supply cooled by a small fan, and has a large colorful LCD touchscreen with mode selector symbol on it serving as a button that you can gently touch to choose appropriate mode. It shows alternating readings of voltage and temperature, as well as battery condition and a few other indicators. In addition to normal charging, it can recondition/repair batteries, and will give appropriate indication at every stage of the eight-step charging process. It has temperature compensation and reverse polarity protection. It can take a wide range of input AC voltages, fitting both North American (120V) and European (220V) AC supply standards. It should be able to charge a variety of different types of batteries having different chemistry and capacity. The only warning is against charging Lithium-ion batteries.Altogether, this is a good charger with all necessary features at a very decent price and comes with mostly readable instructions sheet in English and Deutsche (German). I tested it on a 12V / 8 Ah lead-acid battery, you can see the result in the attached photo.
