This little black light flashlight works great. We have used it to find areas where a cat had sprayed. We also use it to find scorpions that find their way into our house at night. They glow bright with this light. It is built sturdy and has a very solid feel. I definitely recommend

Cures my UV epoxy nice and quick, and I can adjust the beam size if I need a larger area covered. Mind you, the larger the beam, the less intensity it has, thus the curing time will be proportionally longer. WITH THAT SAID, the ONLY negative I see here, is that you will get to a focal distance where you'll see the LED array projected, meaning the light isn't being defused enough and is concentrated on that spot and outside of it, you're not getting much curing done. For me, it seemed to be around half-extension point. But outside of that small window, this is great. It's so great, I bought my friend one, who was using a dinky button cell push UV light for his field work in Exotics Veterinary. He uses UV resin/glues for shell and beak repairs all the time. This cures faster, doesn't get hot, and holds a charge for a lot longer. I also love the fact that you can open this guy up, pop out the 18650 cell, and put a new one in, if anything should happen to the cell. Meaning reduction in E-WASTE since the LED should long outlast the battery. It does charge a bit slow, but is to be expected from these devices, they all seem to be plagued with terrible charging circuitry. In conclusion, 100% would recommend, the focusing gimmick works great, easy to manipulate, hard metal shell, perfectly sized to be not too big or too small, replaceable battery, so if you do need this for prolonged field use, you can just chuck a few extra 18650 cells in your bag. Loved it so much, bought one for a friend who has gotten a lot of use out of it, already. Veterinarian and hobbyist approved.

First things first: The price was right. It's a sturdy little aluminum flashlight, typical lens, typical "push the collar to focus the beam" I'm used to. Simple, stylish look; bright beam; takes a button-top 18650 that it can charge via USB-C. That's all great. I don't like the placement of the power button relative to the USB-C port, but I've designed a PCB; I get it. Not a big fan of the "D" on the power button, either, but that's why they make PlastiDip. I really only got the thing to determine whether the rubies I bought myself for my birthday were actually corundum. (Yep, many gems fluoresce.) They are.

Early review … received it today. Plugged it in to get it fully charged and it kept flashing red. No helpful paperwork was packed with it. I had to poke around until I found where I could ask “Rufus” about it and I found that might indicate a battery or charging issue. I backed the rechargeable battery out and reinserted it. Discovered that if I locked it (the battery compartment) down, it’d continue flashing red; if I stopped short of full lockdown, it gives me the solid green (charged) signal. Just offering this up in case other purchasers run into this. If this workaround doesn’t cause me trouble, I’ll leave this review as is.

VERY GOOD AND RECHARGEABLE

I use it primarily to spot scorpions in the desert when I go camping. It's just what I needed without spending 3 to 5 times as much. So far, it's working fine. I would recommend it, especially at its price point.
