How do I change the coarseness of the grind?

With the handle on the grinder, turn the adjustment knob all the way to the right until it is tight and closed. The further left you click the knob, the coarser the grind will be. The further right you click the knob, the finer the grind will be.

What is the right grind size for my perfect cup of coffee?

From a completely closed position, we recommend a Fine Grind for Espresso (~21 clicks,) Medium Grind for Pour Over (~42 clicks,) and Coarse Grind for French Press (~70 clicks.) We also recommend you play with the grind to find what suits your taste.

How many times do I have to fill the grinder to make enough for my BruTrek French press?

The high capacity of the hopper (32-40g) means you won't have to spend all your time grinding! General guidelines: BaseCamp 48fl.oz = 1.5-2 hoppers, BaseCamp 32fl.oz = 1-1.5 hopper, OVRLNDR = 1 hopper, Steel Toe = 3/4 hopper, Double Shot = 1/2 hopper

What is the coffee-to-water ratio?

We recommend a 1:15 coffee-to-water ratio, meaning that for every gram of coffee, you will need 15 grams of water, but you’re welcome to experiment and find what works best for you.
