Pantry Overhaul Guide: Get a step-by-step plan with shopping lists to transform your kitchen and make cooking for an anti-inflammatory lifestyle easy and convenient. Review: Highly Recommended - Well, I am sincerely happy with the book. Thatโs why I wanted to share this review with you. The book is divided in two parts: the first covers the Plant Paradox Program in detail, whereas the second brings easy-to-prepare recipes divided in categories. The first part of the book is where we learn the details about the program: the background and effects of lectins in our bodies, the common disrupters we may not be aware of, as well as a detailed explanation on how we should approach the program to bring back our innate happy and healthy life. Please, the first part of this book can either be a refresher of the main book if you have already read that, or it can be the only book to read if you havenโt read that yet. That is, don't bother and get this one instead. You will find ordered and well-explained information covering pretty much all aspects of the program proposed, including the list of desirable food choices as well as the list of those we want to avoid in order to keep low inflammation. I say that because I ended up reading the main book twice and is still fresh in order to compare them both. The second part of the book is quite delightful. Now, as I edit this review written previously, I wanted to add that I have prepared around 10 of the dishes in the book. First one was the "Cream of Mushroom Soup", and sincerely enjoyed the result. Then tried the delicious "Brazilian Cheezy Bread" which is a yummy snack together with a cup of tea/coffee. From the main dishes I have tried a handful and cannot say which one has been my favorite so far. My family loves the "Halibut with Mushrooms" and I personally enjoy cooking the "Spinach Artichoke Lasagna". As a side note, most recipes seem to be straightforward, and the ingredient list idem. Also, it's important to note that the recipes will please both vegans and omnivorous. Even though I am fortunate to be in good health that let me spend time outdoors to go on adventures and move freely, I sincerely believe this lifestyle proposed by Gundry can be a healing approach to foster better health even if we don't have any health issue. At first his viewpoints can be daunting, but it makes completely sense once we understand the "whys" behind it, as well as after complying with the program for only 2โ3 weeks. I felt more vibrant upon starting his approach, my skin felt healthier after 2 weeks, my digestive system seems to work even smoother, and I feel lighter. Deep inside we all can find ways to create a more positive, meaningful and healthier lifestyle, nurturing from inside out. Nutrition, after all, is one of the foundation aspects. Besides Gundry's approach, I do enjoy Mercola's "Fat for Fuel" book and Longo's "The Longevity Diet" book. After all they are complementary and based on recent health studies/research. Lastly, one of the ultimate readings, which I have just finished and has already influenced my thoughts deeply, is a book called "No Recipe: Cooking as Spiritual Practice" from Edward Brown. Combining the Plant Paradox Program principles together with inspiring reflections from Brown can definitely influence our perceptions around nurturing our bodies and souls. Take good care, Haical Review: The Plant Paradox Cookbook - Good book. A Lot of great information.

The Plant Paradox Cookbook
Good book. A Lot of great information.

Recipes for a healthier lifestyle.
I am on a very restricted diet, for multiple health issues, including not eating lectins. I've been so confused as to what I can or can not eat. I would eat things I thought were ok, but still was feeling sick, drained and getting the same symptoms. I was told to get The Plant Paradox book, because it explains what you should and shouldn't eat and WHY. Why certain "healthy foods" are still bad for you. I got it and it's been very helpful and informative.I decided I should get this cookbook to help to know what different things I can eat, and not worry about issues flaring up. I haven't tried any recipes from it yet, (which is why I haven't given full stars, but it does have a lot of good, useful information. ). It's helped me make a list of good foods to eat and what to avoid. I'm excited to try some of these recipes. It has everything from breakfast, to desserts. Everything looks really good. I will update after I've tried some and see how I feel and how good the recipes are.

Tasty, easy and nutritious recipes
I bought Gundryโs Plant Paradox book impulsively after watching a Utube ad for it. Iโm not into utube and I felt pretty dumb after I ordered the book. But dang, once I had it, I felt like I should follow through with the suggested diet that sounded so compelling for a while so I wouldnโt have completely wasted my money. Itโs not an easy diet to follow. My husband and I gave up quite a few of our favorite foods at first, which can feel kind of agonizing. After a few weeks of eating carefully, we found ourselves losing weight easily, our skin began to look and feel softer and more luminous again (a big bonus to middle-aged people like us), I felt less achy and mentally sharper. To be honest, we havenโt strictly followed the anti-lectin diet in over a year, but we have kept elements of it. A big bonus is using the delicious and nutritious recipes in this book. I find them easy to make and I feel good when I eat these dishes. My family always exclaims over how tasty they are, too. I highly recommend this cookbook even if you arenโt trying to diet. Itโs not only gluten-free, since lectin is a gluten, but most of the recipes are also vegan. Following themโmaybe just make one or two meals a week out of this bookโis a great entry into eating healthier. Itโs good for the planet, too, if you buy locally grown ingredients to cook.

Good but missing some good recipes
There are some great recipes. He also explains his philosophy for about the first 70 pages or so, which is helpful. I had gotten "The Plant Paradox, Quick and Easy" book as well. In that book, the first stage takes a week, second stage 2 weeks, and then the third stage. In this book the first stage is only 3 days. We did the longer version and felt it was better. There are also some great recipes in the first book that are not in this book. I'm glad I had them both. I lost ten pounds in the first 20 days and my wife lost 6 or 7. I feel lighter and better, and my blood sugar level has gone down and my blood pressure is much better. I recommend that you use up food that is not in the diet limits before you start--or give the food away to someone who needs it. Then start honoring what foods to eat a day or two before you begin. You may need to take a whole day to prepare some foods in advance--so if you are working you may want to do that on a weekend. The only difficulties we had were: 1) we had to go buy cassava flour and other ingredients we didn't have, and 2) I allowed myself about two hours to prepare meals, some of which seemed to have recipes that took some time to put together. Otherwise, this is the best diet we have tried.

Foods unique I never heard of
I have been reading The Plant Paradox Cookbook, and it sounds plausible but thereโs many items I have never heard of nor seen. I tried another approach with the same scenario book once and found the costs to high and taking me to long to prepare. Thereโs lists of foods you can get at any grocery in this book, but I look at the recipes and feel confused. Whey not use only these healthy easy to find items? I want healthy, basic, essay to find items, foods the whole family will eat. I want recipes simple to do and on a budget. These have lovely pictures but it looks more like entertaining the guests not daily fare. If heโs done this cookbook I am interested. Live Right For Your Type by DโAdamo/Whitney (sold by Amazon) has many similarities and I think if I use this and leave out what Dr Guidry warns against I may have found my food program. The Plant Paradox Cookbook is worth a read, but until the recipes are simpler, faster to make, with easy to find foods at lower costs I will seldom be able to use it.

Dr. Gundry condenses the information from his first book to bring you up to speed so you can get right into the recipes. I have had Fibromyalgia a long time and in tremendous pain. So I had nothing to lose I bought this book. And I have been following Dr. Gundry since 2018. I Bought all his books, and watch all his Videos which are free. And for me his recipes Work, and they are delicious. They are easy to read and understand. I started with one recipe at a time, and never looked back. I hope you try this book, itโs educational from a real Doctor. And best of all, IT WORKS.
