- The Killer Wireless AC 1550 is the first collaboration between Rivet Networks and Intel. It combines     the speed, intelligence, and control of Killer Networking technology with the power and performance of     Intel’s 5th generation wireless 11ac chipset. - Gigabit Wi-Fi Speeds – Features 160 MHz channel support, has a theoretical max throughput speed of 1.73Gbps - MU-MIMO Support - Includes full MU-MIMO support, which dramatically increases network efficiency and can     provide up to 60% faster download speeds, lower latency, and a better overall connection. - Transmit Beamforming Technology - Allows the Killer Wireless-AC 1550 to share location information directly     to your wireless access point so that the access point can better direct its signals to you. - Complete 802.11ac functionality – Supports dual band (2.4 GHz and 5GHz), IEEE standards-based 802.11a/b/g/n/ac,     and includes Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity.

Stable and Consistent
Works well. Identifies as Killer Card, but is made by Intel. This card uses Intel Drivers, so have no fear, all is well in that department. This card has Bluetooth 5.0. WiFi has been consistent for me, no drop outs. The signal is stronger than my old WiFi card (Killer 1435).

Unstable connection, lag/disconnects.. Expected better
I bought 2 of these and put them in 2 different laptops with different configurations.I'm an IT profession and a competitive gamer. I didnt buy into the hype of a 'gaming' chip, but thought extra customization and monitoring would be good. Boy was I wrong.Even though this is an 'enhanced' Intel 9260, I had so many lag and dropout issues, it was unplayable with, and without, a dedicated VPN (KillPing).I tried these installations: driver only, clean installations, old drivers, with different software suites.I tried swapping the antennae connections (which shouldnt matter).I made all the modifications usually requested: band preference, on/off stream detection, with stream detection on I prioritized my gaming packets, disabled packet coalescing, turned off things like offloading, etc.I even made my laptop a DMZ and turned off all firewalls for testing to try and fix the issue and pin the issue on my network instead of Killer, to no avail. No matter what changes I made, any time I was in an MMO dungeon where people were connecting from multiple servers (in raid where everyone is on the same server I had no issue), and when the throughput was stressed/tested, I got lag and sometimes even a computer reset didnt fix it. Same thing with FPS's that had tons and tons going on.I swapped to 2 intel 9260's ("stripped back" killer 1550's) and have had 0 issues since. I'm super disappointed here and will not be buying their products anymore. As a side note (since this review is about the wifi modules): their ethernet has the same problem I think; so just like intel vs AMD, I cant trust their (Killer and AMD) drivers' testing or stability.

Good card, if it works in your system.
I bought this to replace a Intel card that didn't support killer since I have a killer enabled router. Came fairly quickly and installed without too much effort. After installing though it wouldn't show up in device manager even after forcing it to look for hardware changes. Booted into diagnostics and it picked up both Bluetooth and wifi. Card then started working and killer software installed. I do have a significantly lower ping with this card and a more stable speed compared to the stock card in my laptop. With the stock card my speed would vary from around 300mbps to 800mbps, with this card it stays on 866mbps. Works well for game streaming too, I have a Nvidia K1 that I stream games to and this has increased the resolution I can stream at.

Good adapter!
This works great! Replaced pokey Qualcomm Atheros that was installed in my Acer Aspire V15 Nitro. Now my downloads are as fast as my external Linksys adapter. A lot easier to install than I anticipated. You must be very careful and take your time plugging the antennas back in. The drivers are not built into windows 7 or 10. You should download the driver ahead of time from Killernetworking.com. It has good bluetooth. However even though windows said my mouse was connected, it would not work. Ran the Windows 10 bluetooth troubleshooter which checked and fixed the "bluetooth radio status". Works wonderfully now. Recommended.

Upgrade over Killer 1435 - Intel Inside
Bluetooth 5.0 and upgraded Intel hardware work better for connecting to wireless headphones and for managing multiple downloads/streams than the Killer 1435 (which was a Qualcomm chip) that shipped with my Alienware 15. Easy to upgrade and worth the price.

What a big improvement over the 1535 killer card
And with intel involvement was a great idea under the killer brand this product is phenomenal

Windows 10 = Great, Ubuntu = Poor
If you plan on using this on a Windows 10 PC it is blazing fast!!!!! Ubuntu does not support this wifi module, which is a bummer.Couple things to remember, ensure your laptop can support M.2/NGFF slot and antenna.... you may find yourself buying an M.2 Adapter, and NGFF Antenna after the fact if you are upgrading an older Intel 4th gen laptop, however it will work.... as long as you have the space for it....mine doesn't fit well, actually it fits poorly but it's very fast.

Saved my laptop
I've got an Acer VN7 Nitro and after just over 4 years of use, the laptop stopped connecting to wifi networks. I was baffled, it detected the networks as usual, but when I tried to join them, it attempted until the connection timed out and threw an error. I couldn't find anything online, tried resetting the OS, did everything I could software wise. I saw this product and decided to buy it as a last effort before giving up on the laptop.Needless to say, I've still got the laptop now after giving the new card a try for a few months, I've had absolutely no issue since installing it. In fact, my network speeds and strength seem to have increased. If you're thinking of buying this card, don't hesitate, just buy it.
