It was close to the shoes that we purchased in the same color - close enough that it looked like a match from the distance between waist and foot. Buckle area is subtle enough that it's not too flashy or garish.Width is just under 1.5". Waist size as described. I have doubts that it is all leather - it scratched a little too quickly and not in the way that other genuine leather items I have are scratched. That said, for the price and the frequency it will be used - it's fine and classic. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ More black than gray *by D***C on November 10, 2018* This is my 2nd belt, first I bought a brown one and really liked the quality and feel (only had it one week) so can't say how it holds up. I bought the Grey one as it looked more black but not jet black like the black belts. It came like the picture wait I would call a black belt but not jet back, so I guessed right. I think if you wanted a Grey belt you would be disappointed. I wear a 34 so the first belt I ordered a 36 it fit okay, but just barley reached my 2nd pant look, so this time ordered a 38 and perfect.
