Blood Glucose Monitoring System for Dogs and Cats

This product I believe is very accurate. I am a nurse and I am using this on my diabetic cat who is sick right now. I am grateful for it. It is very easy to use. Try it out on yourself first and please watch videos and read EVERYTHING. Do the control first and get used to the lancet device. The inside of the ear is a good site instead of sticking the paw pad. I feel it might be less painful. I am very happy with this purchase. I got a lot of strips and lancets and as you can see in the picture the expectation date is over a year from now. There is no excuse why anyone could not work this device like a pro and your furry friend will not suffer if you learn to use it right. I would buy this again. Good price and good quality.

Just as accurate as alphatrak 2 but the test strips are cheaper. You can get the strips cheapest off walmart.com.

I used this to test my diabetic dog and it read his sugar was low and kept giving me different readings both times I tested him. I skipped his insulin dose because I thought it was to low and found out after taking him to the emergency vet that his sugar was 537 and they used this meter to see how accurate it was compared to what they had and it was over 100 points off from what they had! It is not an accurate meter and I was very disappointed and out a good bit of money from this and having to take him to the emergency vet.

I have had a love hate relationship with this meter but I really do like it now. Since I got it 2 years ago I had mostly consistent results. It took awhile to figure out but all problems I had with it were attributed to the VERY crappy lancet device. I went got one at CVS and Voila'! First time everytime! Now my dog isn't stressed because I have to stab her multiple times. No more wasted expensive test strips because not enough blood or because readings were so wildly apart. Stressed animal gives inaccurate glucose test. REPLACE THE CRAP LANCET DEVICE.

The test kit is confusing and extremely difficult to use. Instructions impossibly confusing. Once the testing technique was mastered, the results were consistently inaccurate due to broken meter. This test kit will prove a danger to your pet.
