Easy to inflate and deflate, however, it would have been helpful if they had self closing valves. The only issue was that when retrieving at the end of the day, I found that water seemed to get in between the fabric and the air bladders. I had to let the water drain out prior to deflating them. Not a major problem as it did not seem to impact flotation and it only took a couple of minutes to let the water drain out. The holder gets filled with water and collapses iin on itself a bit. It's not a weight thing.
