I was breezing thru the reviews again and I saw a negative review that made me have to order and try myself. He was gracious enough to share a picture and review that rubbed me the wrong way. Complaining this arm will not hold a 57" when others say they do without issue is a problem. Then to show a picture of it leaning when he is trying to mount a 1500/2k monitor to a Dollar Store style desk. I mean, come on, spend a few bucks and get a decent desk top. I suggest a real butcher block 1.5" thick minimum. Not only that, he's got the mount at the tip top of the pole. Unbelievable... If you are not mechanically inclined, please get some help. While, I didn't go with the 57", and instead upgraded to the LG 45 5k2k, I have no doubt that this mount will hold it and the other positive reviews with 57" displays are truthful. I've had many monitor arms and this one is probably the best I've had. The finish is fantastic although its hidden so doesn't matter I guess. The one con is vague instructions. But I've come to terms that instructions will always be unclear on amything I order from Amazon. It was easy enough to figure out having done many mounts.
