A must read for salespeople
I believe that Kendra Lee and Jill Konrath are the two best sales authors and trainers in the country. This is another great book by Ms. Lee that I strongly advocate reading by every salesperson I know. Business development and prospecting are the hardest, least enjoyed, and lowest performing aspect of selling. Ms. Lee offers a lead generation system that works. Read this if you want to increase your commission checks!There are 14 different strategies across the three spectrum's of Personal, Digital, Collaborative all for the purpose of attracting business instead of having to cold call for it. Not necessarily deep and still needing a plan along with technical knowledge for some strategies, this is an important book to add to your arsenal of sales techniques.Note to the critical reviewers of this book: sorry, there isn't a silver bullet. Fighting for business and doing prospecting in today's world is hard, very hard. "The Sales Magnet" doesn't fix that - elbow grease and lots of it are still needed. I've read hundreds of books on selling and at the end I've realized that everyone one has some truth but the secret sauce is working hard,

One to keep right at hand for continual reference!
Selling without cold calling has always been the holy grail for sales people. No one likes to pick up the phone and get hung up on and the person on the other end doesn't liked to be pitched either. Read Kendra Lee's insightful and actionable book and forget about ever making a cold call again. Her case studies, free supporting toolkit and easy to follow strategies will work for all personality types in all types of sales situations. I love that she doesn't want you to throw away what works for you but rather she shows how by providing value, building relationships and making small shifts you can have clients coming to you. Just implementing one of her strategies can make a difference in the bottom line.I have two copies of this book. I keep the paperback by my desk and I have the Kindle version with me at all times. This way I can refer to it whenever I am standing on the grocery line, waiting for an appointment or at the airport.Get your copy and then access all the amazing free resources she has available to make it even easier to follow through.

Very useful ideas on prospecting
I bought this book after reading Fanatical Prospecting by Jeff Blount (I also recommend buying Fanatical Prospecting).The Sales Magnet gives you many tips on how to create a campaign that will attract new clients and turn cold calling into warm calling.I recommend you buy this book and implement the strategies you feel most comfortable with.

If you've cold called yourself to death...here's a better way!
I've read many, many books in a variety of areas including sales, and I think this book is excellent, since Kendra provides proven strategies for attracting your ideal clients. She provides tremendous value with her book and online resources. If you want to grow your sales substantially, you must get this book and use the strategies. Fortunately for those of us responsible for generating sales, I'm grateful she chose not to pursue a lifelong career in accounting :).

Kendra Lee ROCKS! Learn to generate sales leads for any business using her methods. It's fast and easy and even fun. I have gotten great results with her lead-gen techniques. So BUY THE BOOK and invest in yourself.

Was expecting more
I may need to re-read the book since generally, the other reviews are fairly positive, but I did not get a lot out of the book. I was hoping for at least one take away or actionable item. Just seemed very basic. No more cold calling to build a sales pipeline using the Attraction Trifecta - Personal, Digital, Collaberative.
