Great for hydration in hot Florida sun
I bought these for my husband who works out in the hot Florida sun everyday. Water by itself wasn't enough to keep him hydrated and Gatorade had too much sugar, so my husband's doctor recommended we find an alternative solution with less sugar. I reviewed several options on Amazon and chose this product because of the health benefits and ingredients. The price is much higher than Gatorade, but I believe you get what you pay for. The flavor he chose is lemon/lime and he says the taste is fine (he is a picky person, so this is saying something). My husband is now feeling better and not suffering from dehydration as he was before. I will continue to buy this product and have it as a subscription for a little discount.

Highly Recommended
I tried LMNT and then I purchased Ballast. I was looking for an electrolyte supplement that met my needs and was also affordable. I don't really taste much difference between the two products, not enough to make me choose one over the other. Ballast is much cheaper than LMNT and when you compare the labels I think Ballast is a better choice. Both are 43% sodium, not surprisingly. LMNT has 1% carbs (2g) while Ballast has 0% carbs. If you are Keto or something similar that may make a difference. I am holding down my carbs but not Keta, Paleo or anything similar. Potassium and Magnesium break down like this, LMNT 200mg Potassium & 60mg Magnesium. Ballast 400mg Pottasium and 80mg Magnesium. The cost for Ballast was $20.69 for a 30-count package and LMNT was $40.50 for a 30-count package. The choice was simple to me once I tasted Ballast. The taste was virtually the same as LMNT with higher mineral content, lower carbs and lower price.

Product “calcified” in packet
I love the regular ballast so I got these to keep in my purse in case I need them on the go. Unfortunately every single packet is rock hard like the product fossilized lol. Kind of bummer since these are a little better priced than LMNT (I’ve never had an issue with LMNT doing this )

Super convenient
Love that they offer serving size packs vs just the bulk tub. Useful for travel!
