Well, the very first night, a little bugger was caught. I was fast asleep and I heard him thrashing around in the trap which I had put in an “eaves” closet . It was midnight. I brought him out to my back yard as I was NOT going to go 3 miles away to release him. I struggled to get the bait door open. The instructions don’t mention how to open it so I stood there for what seemed like a half hour, in my nightie in the drizzle with temps around 39 degrees. Upside down , sideways you name it, I struggled with the blasted door. So much for humane traps as I probably gave the little mouse a heart attack. Eventually I got the thing open and off he scooted most likely never to return to the frightful torture he experienced in the trap. I must mention that upon returning to my back door, my husband stood asking”what the hell is going on” ? I scared him as well ,standing like a wet zombie on my deck. Needless to say, it was a memorable experience of my first trapping.

I just added a piece of provolone, it took 2 days to catch 2 little mice. I have never had mice before oh the house, so I was desperate about what to do. This trap works SUPER WELL. With surgical gloves, I got the trap, put into a box, drove far away from my house in the fields and let the 2 guys to freedom. I will use the same trap again, just to make sure that there is no more guests in the house. Total a bought 2 sets of 4 each: total 8 traps placed in placed around the 3 floors of our house. Very effective!

I’m retracting my earlier one star review, because of my wife, who usually doesn’t have the sense of a goose, discovered what I could not, and in spite of my best efforts, of examining the problem, watching review videos, and reading comments, to try & discover the possible reason for why I couldn’t slide open the back bait door of all four mouse traps, and I assumed they must’ve all been defective. And I would’ve given this five stars instead of four, but I don’t know why they didn’t feel it was necessary to mention that there is a small tab behind the bait door opening that prevents the door from sliding up, unless you press with your fingernail on the top of the back side of the door at the same time that you pull it upward.

They are not and do not work, the latch system is too strong and the weight of the mouse doesn’t engage the trap.Woke up to an 3 empty traps with no mouse.

I caught two mices in 3 days with theses traps, then I set them free about 3 miles away from my house. They worked very well 😀

The media could not be loaded.  Literally caught it within 1 hr after delivery. So happy with this product and the fact it’s a humane trap. I’m 100 percent impressed!!!
