Do you apply it on wet or dry skin?

Hi, I’ve not yet used the product but this is how I decide.

My understanding is when a cream is high in glycerin (attracts moisture) and contains dimethicone (occlusive ingredient ) then it’s designed to seal in moisture, so I then use it on damp sometimes wet skin.

Ingredients: 
AQUA/WATER, GLYCERIN, CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE, NIACINAMIDE, CETEARYL ALCOHOL, DIMETHICONE, PHENOXYETHANOL, CETEARETH-20, BEHENTRIMONIUM METHOSULFATE, CAPRYLYL GLYCOL, POLYGLYCERYL-3, DIISOSTEARATE, SODIUM LAUROYL LACTYLATE, POTASSIUM PHOSPHATE, DISODIUM EDTA, DIPOTASSIUM PHOSPHATE, CERAMIDE NP, CERAMIDE AP, PHYTOPHINGOSINE, CHOLESTEROL, XANTHAN GUM, CARBOMER, ETHYLHEXYLGLYCERIN, SODIUM HYALURONATE, CERAMIDE EOP

It’s a PM / light night cream so not containing any spf protection and also not being used before makeup, which is when I decide to use a cream that seals in moisture using on damp skin. Sometimes then layering with a more moisturising cream after if I need it as the occlusivity is what I’m wanting from the first cream.

I’ve not tried it yet as I didn’t realise it contains ceterayl alcohol which for me with a little rosacea/sensitive skin can sting if my skins a little irritated or broken. But will try when my skins calmer, oily. However everyone’s skin is different and believe it’s one of the alcohols that’s classified as a non drying, fatty alcohol that helps soften the skin.

Can this be used during the day?

Hi - yes , I use it all the time - day and night , but if you are wearing makeup , leave it to absorb fully before applying makeup, as it does have a thicker consistency than the day day cream . I for one love this cream though and don't bother with the day cream as I find this does the job !
