The media could not be loaded. It is junk! Stuck very well and looked very good until……. I came home from work like a week after its been installed and it peeled itself apart! The adhesive backing stayed on my hull and the rubber guard peeled away from it….. update. Getting my $ back… but they went me to return it back to them… its going to get destroyed with me pulling it off.. update i ripped it off and the adhesive part of it stayed in my boat….. and the little of that i tried to pull off pealed all my paint….. seems like would have been a good product if the materials just stayed bonded together. Now this is going to cost me $$ to fix.

I purchased this 5ft keel guard to replace a old damaged keel guard on my 16ft fiberglass bass boat. Comes with 3M adhesive and feels rugged, much cheaper than the old one.I follow the directions and all went well. The hardest is that remove the old adhesive from the boat use a putty knife and alcohol. Clean and polish the boat guard, apply the 3M primer, paste the boat keel guard and done. The primer isn't t included and I purchased a 3M primer pen. Just take times because the 3m sticks firmly and hard to remove if you make a mistake. Put this product on my boat following all directions. Haven’t even gotten to put the boat in the water and just realized the rubber has separated from the adhesive. The adhesive stuck very well to the fiber glass so now I’m stuck having to scrape off the adhesive that is pretty much bonded to it.

I would rate this below zero stars if i coul. I am 2M certified and this product is junk, won't stick to anything except itself and even then it's not very strong. Highly don't recommend this product. I spent hours trying to get this to stick. Primer, marine grade 3M adhesive, heat gun, you name it. Won't stick to aluminum boat at all.

Perfect for my 2020 nitro Z18 bass boat. Such a quality keel guard and protect my boat keel from stony beach and no more scratch on the keel when docking on shoreline. I’ m impressed with strong adhesion. It still stick on my boat hull after went down into the water about 3 or 4 times. I follow the manual and easy to install with my wife. I polish and clean my boat, stick the keel guard, peel, paste and done! Highly recommend and suggest do it BEFORE you damage your boat hull. Wish I had done it sooner.

I applied the 3M self adhesive primer as recommended after cleaning and scuffing the area and with alcohol installed product to a t according to directions within 2 days the white kill guard was peeling away from the black strip that is applied to the boat on the back of it now the black strip is even coming off never even got to test out the product. I strongly suggest spend more money on a better product this one is not for you.

Works awesome and saves on scratches

The first time we put the boat in the water after application the white rubber separated from the black adhesive. Very unsightly and unable to properly remove the black sticky mess from the bottom of our white boat for the duration of our lake trip. Directions were read and followed. Very disappointed in this product. And we were on our vacation when this happened. By the time we returned home, the return window was closed, so I guess we just take a loss. Do not buy this product.
