So far, so good. Assembly was a tiny challenge because my unit came with two gaskets, which confused me for a moment. But now I know I have an extra one, if needed. This gasket gets inserted before you screw in the spigot. The gasket is, in my opinion, a little thicker than necessary. But I was able to mash it in far enough that I could screw the spigot in. After that, the unit functioned as it was supposed to. I added 5.5 pounds of wax, cut into 6 pieces. The unit melted the wax in roughly 20 minutes, set at 185 degrees. When I opened the spigot, the wax didn't come out smoothly, like out of a kitchen sink, because there's no screen, which makes sense. So I recommend having newspaper, a towel, aluminum foil, or something under it to catch any spatter while dispensing. I didn't use all the wax I had put in so I just turned off the unit and let it solidify. When I turned it on the next time, all the wax remelted just fine. But the wax in the spigot didn't heat up enough to come out. So I warmed it with my creme brulee torch for about a minute and then wax flowed continuously with no problem. As you can see in the photo, I also bought a little wire shelf so I could slip a jar or measuring cup under the spout and still have the vessel over the counter top. Overall, this is a handsome unit and functions as described.

The TOAUTO 8Lbs Green Wax Melter has been a game changer for my candle-making setup! It heats up quickly and melts wax evenly, saving me so much time compared to using a double boiler. It’s sturdy, efficient, and holds plenty of wax for smaller batches. But if you’re running a business or producing in bulk, I’d recommend going with a larger model to keep up with production. Overall, it’s well-made, easy to use, and totally worth the investment. Highly recommend!

Before I bought it I read the reviews, saw a lot of negatives, but with that coupon it seemed like a good deal. A decent melter for a decent price, right? Wrong. The box arrived in very rough shape, immediately made me think it was used. On top of this, it was manufactured extremely poorly (see the photo). Despite all of this, I still attempted to use it, and the result was disastrous. Wax seeped through the entire machine (not the pouring valve) wasting a lot of my wax, and being an obvious hazard. Do not buy this product, spend 50$ or so and get a good wax melter. I’m getting a refund and getting a different wax melter, not a toauto one either.

This is my 4th 4L ToAuto melter. This is the workhorse of my business. I use them for melting candle wax, wax melt wax, and for melting the oils for soap making. The wax melts quickly and evenly and the temperature holds at the set temperature. The temperature control also has a wide range of temps so I can melt my soap oils nice and slowly. This product has made my production much more efficient. I absolutely love that the inside is made of stainless steel, which makes it very easy to clean. There's also very little wasted material because the design has the drain hole right in the middle of the base of container, so every last bit of oil/wax can be used. The spout functions well and a I rarely experience splatter. I highly recommend this melter if you are a candle maker.

This has been the best candlemaking purchase for me so far. I’ve had no issues with the heating or the spigot, but when attaching it the directions were a little confusing, so I wonder if that’s why people are having issues. My wax comes out pretty slow (that’s the purpose of the little rubber stopper inside) but I would rather it be slow than messy. I plan to prop the melter up on a wooden box so it’s tall enough for me to leave a pitcher sitting under and I don’t have to hold a pitcher the whole time it’s pouring.

Bought this to help test different waxes mostly, I have 2 big ToAuto melters and I keep them full for production and emptying one to test another wax doesn’t work. This little thing ROCKS 👍🏻 received same day👍🏻packed well 👍🏻 comes with extra drain seal👍🏻 easy install of drain valve 👍🏻 filled with wax, at 11.5 minutes it looked pretty melted so I gave it a good stir and let it finish, fully melted in 19 minutes 👍🏻 temperature dial is pretty accurate 👍🏻I had it set around 175F, my digital read 172F👍🏻👍🏻 Empties out VERY good 👍🏻just a very small amount left to wipe out and cleaned up super easy with some alcohol 👍🏻👍🏻 all in all this one’s a winner👍🏻 great value 👍🏻and a great new addition to my ToAuto lineup👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Works well, but the bottom has a tendency to scorch too easily. Size is great

I purchased this from Amazon to make candles as a retirement hobby. It was easy to set and use. I leave it quite full so it takes a while to melt the wax however once liquid it retains heat well and quickly melts the wax I add to keep it full. The hole in the lid makes it easy to check the wax temperature and the pour spout gives me good control of the flow when I weigh out the liquid wax. There are a lot of larger, more expensive wax melters available however this one is just right for a hobbyist like me.

After using it only once the tap stopped working. I have tried to clean the spout from all the dry wax but it doesn’t seem to be working at all. Again so much money gone waste.
