It is correct that they are waterproof however there is zero ventilation so your feet get very very sweaty and your socks are soaked anyway!

I’ve been using Skechers trainers (that are similarly priced, give or take) for my jogging, and I was interested to see how these Flowing Plume trainers would compare.In many respects, they’re quite similar. They are similarly lightweight, with a soft, foamy feel to them, and both are really quite comfortable, with a good amount of padding underneath that allows them to be soft road shoes that help dampen the impact every time your foot hits the tarmac, without deadening anything too much or making it feel like you’re running on foam.The fit is good for me too. I vary between a 10.5 and 11 depending on the brand, and here I got a 10.5 and I got a good result. There’s a good amount of toe room, and they’re definitely not too narrow. They’re a very comfy and regular fit, the kind of trainers you can put on and forget that you’re wearing them. After a few hours in these, I haven’t had the sore areas or blisters that I’ve had from other, less well-fitting shoes in the past.I got the Black pair, which is also quite Skechers-like, and apart from the lack of an ‘S’ branded logo, visually they’re very similar. The Flowing Plume brand’s other colours look quite smart, if a bit generic, but I’m happy with the black- unless it’s deliberately hiviz, I prefer my running wear to be as modest as possible, and that’s true with this black pair.Don’t let the claims about them being rainproof cause any confusion, these absolutely are NOT trail shoes. The main reason for that is that the grip is really quite shallow underneath. There are parkruns that I wouldn’t attempt in these shoes because of the lack of grip.These trainers really aren’t any more waterproof than a lot of other trainer brands you might have heard of, which is not to say there is no water defence, just that this brand doesn’t seem to be special in that regard. The mesh on the top looks like it will let water through slightly more than it actually does, for sure, and there is a bit of water defence here- but if your parkrun route takes you through a deep puddle, you can definitely still get wet feet with these, and if water gets in down the ankle, it does stay there.Next time I need a fresh pair of trainers in this kind of style, I will probably get more Skechers- they’re more or less the same price as this and I’m continually happy with the Skechers brand and the comfort I get from them. But while these Flowing Plume trainers aren’t better, in many ways these are just as good, and warrant five stars even if they haven’t pushed themselves to the top of my preferred brand list.

Ordered a size up from my actual shoe size, and it's impossible to get my feet into them! I can't even get in most of the way. They're very solid and stiff, so there's no give when I try.

These shoes are very difficult to put on. The part where the tongue normally is, is integrated as in attached to both sides of the shoe and it not elasticated so it does not stretch when trying to put the shoe on and the only way it did get on was by using a shoe horn.Once the shoe was on it was very comfortable, the heels are well padded as are the liners and insoles. They are also very comfortable to walk in.The soles are some form of plastic called RB and is not the grippiest sole I have seen.For some the lightweight and comfort of these shoes will be a winner, but the difficulty in putting them on was too negative for me.
