Very happy with this purchase. We are taking up carpets in our home and needed something to cut them. This works very well. It cuts well, but you need to find the proper angle to get the full effect. It is a bit heavy to use once you attach the battery, but it’s not awful. It is also designed to cut tin, cardboard, etc., but that’s not what we bought it for.

This tool cuts very well. I purchased it to cut aluminum ceiling panels and it performed flawlessly. Also tried a piece of 16 gauge mild steel (struggled, but cut), paper, cardboard, 1/8” masonite.. went through anything I attempted. My only complaint is that I wish the tool were designed in a way that would keep the battery out of the way of the material being cut. The plane on which material passes through the cutter head puts it in line with the battery. You can swivel the head to avoid the battery, but it makes the tool awkward to use.

Tool is pretty nice, not sure its a useful idea overall? I bought this incorrectly to cut a void in some wire shelving units and it really would not cut it. Clearly i dont know what im doing in this selection.

I was a bit hesitant to purchase this item, as I wasn't sure it would cut well or be accurate. But I am glad I did. It has saved my wrist and hands from manually cranking out cuts with shears and scissors. Highly recommend this tool.
