I misplaced my old charger but my wife had an XPS 13 with a similar charger. Everything was fine. Not long after that, the charger stopped working, giving me an error saying that it can't charge due to being an incorrect adapter. It did allow me to use the laptop if it is always plugged in but giving me errors every minute saying it was the wrong adapter. That dance went on for a year and I got tired of it. So I abandoned the laptop in the corner of my house. I searched through all the forums to see if there a solution, but all methods didn't work. I've tried other adapters but they also didn't work. I decided to try a leap of faith and purchased this adapter and long and behold, it is charging and no errors. Finally I am able to use my laptop again.
