Love Kitchens of India. My favorite next to Tasty Bites.
So, my usual go to brand for instant East Indian food is Tasty Bites. But, I recently discovered Kitchens of India when I went to find a pre-made butter chicken paste on Amazon. As you can see in my pic, I had some left, and made a nice butter chicken with the chick pea curry as a side dish. And, what did I think of the chick pea curry? Really good. I also loved the red bean curry. They are EXCELLENT with some naan bread and butter. Also, the curries are not overly oily, contrary to what another reviewer said. If you look at the nutrition label, there's not a LOT of fats in the curries. The spinach and cottage cheese obviously will have a lot more fat, given there's cheese in it. But, I did NOT find the curries overly greasy. In fact, they were a bit more on the drier side.Anyways, I would highly recommend Tasty Bite fans to give Kitchens of India a try. It's one of my go to brands now for Indian food.

Simple, easy meals on the go
Although I enjoy cooking from scratch, I can also appreciate a hearty meal that requires no work on my part. These Kitchens of India meals are just that: reasonably healthy, simple, tasty, and already made for me. They are ideal for my teens who want food NOW but can't be bothered to cook, for singles who don't want the trouble of dirtying dishes for one, and for anyone who wants to eat at the office without ordering out. For my purposes, I am always looking for simple meals to enjoy while camping, and these are so easy to heat just by tossing in hot water for a few minutes (or, honestly, without heating at all when it's already hot outside). They do contain a pretty generous amount of protein (the saag version has less, because of the ingredients) and fiber. That said, though, like many ready-to-eat meals, they also are a bit sodium-heavy (20% or so), so, while that may not be an issue for a healthy person or a hiker, it could matter if you were on a sodium-restricted diet. All the packets were clearly marked with an expiration date of April 2025, too, which is a nice feature when making sure that my pantry stock gets rotated regularly. Overall, a decent value and a satsifying meal (especially paired with ready-made rice packets).

Meals are soo convenient!!
These meals are soo convenient. I can just take a pouch or two to work and stick them in the microwave and enjoy! None of them were really that spicy and that is a shame as I really like spicy Indian food. Perhaps I will try their spicy flavors next or just punch it up with some spicy Indian sauces I already have at my home. For the price the value is not too bad for basically 6 meals. The red kidney beans with curry was one of my favorites although I liked the spinach one as well. They all go really well with rice as I always have leftover rice to take with me to work as well.

Very easy to make but not very easy to enjoy
I am a man of convenience, so pouch meals like this are always something I have handy. I love indian food, especially curry, so I was hoping these would be a slam dunk; unfortunately, I didn't like any of the three meals. They were all very salty and overly greasy, in a way that hurt my stomach and made them difficult to get through... I never could finish a full pouch. Of the three, the spinach with cottage cheese and sauce was the best, but I wouldn't purchase these ever again.

Well seasoned easy to heat and eat
This is a nice variety pack of quick to heat and eat Indian cuisine. Goes great over some basmati. Each one is well seasoned with spices and flavorful.

Tasty and quick to make.
Overall I enjoyed the Kitchens Of India Ready To Eat Protein Variety Pack some varieties more than others. They all have a good exotic flavor to them and as far as heat goes I think the chick peas was a little spicier. The red kidney beans my favorite was mild and had an excellent flavor I could eat a ton of it it was that good. I did like the chick peas variety second best. The cottage cheese variety just wasn't my "thing" I guess. After eating about half I stopped and the rest of the afternoon I was having indigestion.

Yummy Indian options
Various flavors of Kitchen's of India dish packets for my husband's lunches when there are no leftovers, and he and my family adores them! I sampled them myself, their aroma is delightful. They're incredibly convenient for quick and satisfying meals when cooking time is limited.

Excellent Indian food meals! Just heat and serve
These are excellent! I have been trying several brands of ready to eat Indian cuisine and this is my favorite by far. Tried the saag paneer last night and it was perfect over rice with naan. Perfect flavor and not too spicy! Love that these are so easy to prepare. You just heat on the stove for a few minutes and serve. Tastes as good as my favorite local Indian restaurant. Highly recommend!
