For the price it was excellent, Easy fit to my Suzuki Df6a no need for the spacer strip, The locking mechanism is OK and did not slacken under normal use, If the riveted area was beefed up a bit or modded with a couple of screws, it would make it a fantastic item, will it last? yes certainly at least a few years, then maybe when the china factory finally understand what they are coping just maybe the rivets will be upgraded.

Comes a bit loose on the tiller arm, but pretty much does what it says on the tin.

This is a good product it fits well on my 6hp Suzuki tiller, and tightens down nicely. Feels strong enough to last a long time too

I think the reviews complaining about this extension are harsh - this is excellent value (bargain compared to some) and does the job perfectly. I use it on a 320 RIB with a mariner 6hp. If you have a tiller grip with a smaller diameter you will need to pack this out to get it to fit. I tiny diameter tiller grip might be challenging but for me it's great.

This was required to allow me to stand and still operate my outboard. There are a few issues; the clamp seems to loosen off, and the "rotate to extend/ shorten" feature means that there is a dead place when changing between accererate and decelerate with an additional risk that the handle will collapse. The other drawback is outboard motor companies fault - no way of changing gear between drive, neutral and reverse without crouching back down. I won't mention Honda by name here, even though they don't provide an add on kit for remote operation.

The clamp doesn't close enough to grip the outboard throttle securely enough, even though it comes with a rubber insert sleeve. I had to bind the outboard throttle grip with some cordage to ensure a firm fit. Now it works well. I guess it will depend on what outboard you have. Mine is a Honda 2.3hp
