This book is a good reference for any interior design enthusiast. It's comprehensive and covers all aspects of design principles in an informative and engaging way. The book is full of great visuals - photos, illustrations, charts, tables, etc. There's no shortage of reference images or pictures for inspiration. I have it stacked on my bookshelf right now but routinely reach for it to spot check specific space planning best-practice measurements. It covers everything from space planning to color theory and has a section on outdoor living. Whether you use this book as a coffee table book or a true guide, it's nice one to have on hand.

I have always loved interior design, even as a child. I have admired great designers and purchased many of their books. This is singularly the most organized, most incisive, most educational, most amazing and most beautiful book on interior design. I have never recommended a book or anything at all so strongly. Ellen Fisher with Jen Renzi created a resource that deserves a special place in the world of interior design. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼❤️ P.S. I am buying everyone I love a copy.

Wow!! I'm not sure why I am surprised that a book about design is designed so beautifully. The sleeve is so crisp and thick. The pages of the book are really high quality as well. I bought this book to review design principles--it has a good mix of information and images. My partner found another purpose for it when it's not being read and has proclaimed himself an interior designer. Overall, could not be happier with this purchase.

I recommend buying. The price and the benefits are unbeatable. Great book for beginners and Interior Design practitioners, it contains a lot of important information that we should know. great illustrations, the paper is smooth and the images are of great quality. Trans information on how to make the first contact with your customer.

It's a good book, but I returned it because I realized I needed more understandable information for my level of English.

As a recent college graduate, I have been looking for new ideas and paths to take my career in. I love teaching myself new topics, and my interest at the time is interior design. This book gives countless visual examples of interiors, as well as gives you the nitty gritty details of how to appropriately position furniture and decor, and how to match the furniture to your space based on size, texture and color.

This book has been so fun to read seeing all the different themes and displays of design. I recommend this book for anyone wanting to learn about the function of design in a space .

I studied at the New York school of design , a million years ago but this is the book we should have used , not the history of furniture which was great , but this has all a young designer needs to know to really get started . Gtreat photos and good information . Highly recommend it .
