Won't hurt your hands which in turn will equal more at bats
This product is perfect for when you need to do a long hitting practice as it is easy on the hands. It does fly 3-5 miles per hour faster than a regular ball. I take advantage of this and mix the balls to give it a realistic fastball to changeup feeling.

The smash balls break too easily
I ordered 4 dozen smash balls for my varsity baseball team this past season. Of the 48 balls, 17 of them broke - some within the first week. The balls don’t break when contacted on the barrel but if there is a mishit toward the end of the bat, a chunk of the ball will break off.
