Lots of action and interesting twists!
As I said for my Volume 8 review, I don't normally write reviews on things but as I saw this had no reviews yet, I wanted to explain why I'm still buying this series and have pre-ordered the next 3.Oh, I would say that this is a NON-SPOILER review, provided you've read 1-12.From last volume, when Ageha and Sakurako return to the present, it has altered AGAIN, so it was very cool to see how their actions are constantly changing. This volume gets more nitty-gritty about WISE, two of the Elmore kids get a satisfying amount of pages showing them using their Psy against WISE and seeing how powerful they've become. It introduces a few new faces and new Psy abilities, and some hush-hush things with some characters come out into the open! I won't say what, but we all know it's been a long time coming. Also, in the filler pages is an AWESOME poll of the most popular Psy powers, and literally lists all of the powers so you can see what they are and what they're called. That was one of my favourite features of this volume.So.... buy it! Right now! :3

Infiltration
In the aftermath of their infiltration of the former Grigori labs, Ageha and his friends continue to train as they attempt to come up with a plan to defeat W.I.S.E., who are continuing to recruit members. Back in the future, W.I.S.E. are closing in on the Root determined to whip out all resistance but there is evidence that the actions of Ageha and the other Drifters is having an effect on the timeline. This thirteenth volume is another very entertaining instalment of the 'Psyren' manga with some nice action. The fights in this volume are all very good with a variety of interesting abilities on display with new character Eiji Kise's Zone Diver ability being particularly good. Eiji himself is an interesting character who makes for a great villain and his battle against Shao is very fun to read. The changes to the timeline are also very interesting (and are handled rather humorously) as it shows that Ageha and the others are definitely making a difference with their actions. This was another very good volume of 'Psyren' and it is easily worth a full five stars.

Slow to Start, But Still Good
Volume 13 of Psyren covers chapters 108 - 116 and carries readers from the end of the previous arc, to a bit of training and fun, to rushing in directly to the potential eng game area. Initially reading it I did have concerns that this is probably where the writer, Toshiaki Iwashiro decided to start calling it in for the series for it is odd for Ageha and crew to suggest just going straight to Miroku and those of W.I.S.E. Why not spend more time in the present time to solve the mystery versus the fantastical world of the near future? Personally it would have been a bit more of an entertaining point to focus on the characters struggles and growth in the present day, especially Kyle and others instead of going to the future with their advance forms. My misgivings aside after the first few chapters and the plan being put into motion the rest of the volume became quite the page turner. I finished the volume in under an hour but was fully satisfied with it. I highly suggest having volume 14 handy so the full experience can be had with no interruptions. This volume had the included bonus of the results to the PSI Popularity Poll, and an afterword.
