The TWO BEST TIPS for best results!
I've been using an epilator for years and I've always bought a Braun. The company has quality products, well made and the engineering is top notch. This upgrade from the last model is still rechargeable, has 3 speeds, a light so you can better see the area, etc. The major improvement is the epilator head swivels to glide over curves, i.e. your knees, calves, etc. It helps keep the head close to the skin without applying too much pressure. I'm not going over too much info you can read on your own about attachments and basic use, my review has hints to help you get the best results. First, everyone complains about the pain. Sure, it's not pleasant, but if you want smooth skin for weeks, with a major reduction in regrowth, it's worth it. There are ways you can minimize the pain as well. Be certain your hair is not too long; long enough for the tweezer head to grab, about a quarter inch or a little more. Too long and it will definitely be painful. Your skin should be clean, dry and exfoliated. If you want to bathe or shower first to open your pores, go for it. Exfoliating will bring the hairs away from your skin, making for a better result. There are 2 MOST important hints that facilitate the process to the max! I can't reiterate this enough. When running the Braun epilator head over your skin, go slowly! Applying pressure is not as important as lengthening contact with the surface area. Don't use it like a razor. I'm always in a hurry with everything, but in this case, the slower you swipe the area, the more hair it'll pull. Think of it like a vacuum, the slower you allow the machine to cover the area, the more debris it'll pick up. I guarantee if you slow down, allowing more time over your skin to grab the hair, the machine will do the best job. Now this is important!! Hold the body of the epilator at a 90ยฐ angle from the skin's surface. This also allows more contact with your skin and enables the tweezers to do the job. I'm serious about this, you'll notice a major difference in the results. Of course, hair grows in different directions, so you'll likely have to run over the skin in a few different directions the first few times, and never with the growth, always against it. The more times you use it, you'll notice far less regrowth, your hair grows back slower, finer and your skin will be smoother. You'll likely notice redness on some of your pores, but that should subside in 10-20 minutes. Never use over broken skin, rashes, etc. To prevent ingrown hairs, wipe your skin with alcohol or hydrogen peroxide before and afterward, let it thoroughly dry. If you use the machine with these tips, you'll get the best results, with less pain. You'll never go back to shaving!

Never shaving my legs again!
I have had my entire body waxed, I have 4 tattoos, and Iโve had a baby. Itโs safe to say my pain tolerance is pretty high. Still, I only did the waxing thing one time because it hurt like absolute hell! THIS however, is so much less painful but delivers the same smooth results as waxing. Thatโs just my opinion. If youโve gotten a tattoo, the pain level is relatively similar. My best description would be that it feels like a bad cat scratch when you do the first pass over a very hairy area. Waxing is intolerable for me. I have never used an epilator before today, but it definitely is so much less painful. Itโs also nice that unlike wax that you HAVE to rip off no matter what (once itโs on thereโs only one way to get it off LOL), you can take your time with this epilator! You can do one small section at a time taking as much or as little hair as you want in a pass. I did one part of my leg earlier in the day to test how my sensitive skin would react, left it a few hours and then completely finished my whole legs later in about an hour. The results are amazing! You will get a little bit of irritation at first but that comes with any type of removal. The difference between other products and this epilator is that it actually goes away within an hour give or take. When I got waxed I had rashes, and shaving gives me painful razor bumps and ingrown hairs. Iโve never had laser hair removal but Iโve heard that also comes with swelling and sun sensitivity. Iโve also tried creams but none of them worked well on my thick dark body hair. Plus they smell terrible. I think this product is the only hair removal system I will ever use from now on.

So worth it!
โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ Smooth Legs Without the Hassle of Shaving! The Braun Epilator has been a total game-changer for my hair removal routine. What I love most is that I can go a solid two weeks without having to think about shavingโwhich is such a time-saver! My legs stay super smooth, and it feels like I just left the salon every time I use it. While the directions say you can go up to four weeks without regrowth, I personally start to see some hair coming back around the two-week mark. But honestly, Iโm still really happy with that! Compared to daily or even every-other-day shaving, this is a major upgrade. Itโs easy to use, effective, and the results are consistent. If youโre looking for smoother skin with less upkeep, Iโd absolutely recommend giving the Braun Epilator a try. Itโs earned a permanent spot in my self-care routine!

No good warranty. Broke after 4 months
I purchased this epilator during the Black Friday sale after reading numerous positive reviews and feedback, deciding it was a worthwhile investment. The first two months were excellent, as it worked wonderfully. However, by the end of January or beginning of February, it started making a very loud noise and failed to pick up hair effectively. I contacted the support line, but they could only offer to send it away for three weeks to assess if it could be repaired. I was under the impression that they fully supported the product, but how could they expect someone relying on it to avoid shaving for three weeks without any alternative? I requested a replacement, but they refused, offering only a repair. I declined because I needed something to shave with and didnโt want to use a razor, as it causes skin bumps and would undo the progress Iโve made with the epilator. Although I have less hair than before, the machine is no longer functioning properly. The moneyback guarantee only works for the first hundred days.

Donโt give up! It gets easier
I didnโt know what I was getting myself into, but happy I stuck with it. Day 1: SHOCKED with how painful and questioning myself for buying product. Week 1: still traumatic. I was determined to not give up though and so glad I kept with it. Finally week 3 I can use it basically pain free and getting good traction for hair removal. I use on underarms in shower and very happy with it now. I havenโt worked up courage to use it other places yet, but at least I have strong faith in the process now!

Really good, with a minor issue
Overall, a solid choice. The small trimmer is a nice addition - note that there are no instructions for the trimmer in the manual, but this is a battery operated item (you'll need to twist off the bottom piece to replace the battery). The main epilator is great - the 40 tweezers really do a good job of grabbing hair. I was worried that the epilator would "break" my hair vs pulling from the root, as I have fine hair and had that issue with a previous Braun epilator. (For reference, I only use this on my lower legs and underarms). This tool works quite well - you may need to do several passes over each area, but the pain is very tolerable after the first pass. My primary complaint is the flexible head; I was looking forward to this feature as I was hoping it would give more control during application. There were no issues when using this on my lower legs, however when I shift to epilate my underarms the head of the epilator "rolls" off your skin and makes it really hard to use. I find it much harder to epilate and end up having patches of skin that don't get treated (despite multiple passes, trying to use different angles, etc.). The head won't stay in place, and as you move it across the treatment area it rolls off the skin vs staying put and doing what it needs to do. In retrospect, I would have preferred one of the "thicker" models that does not have this flexibility feature.

I actually look forward to using this, despite my initial fears of pain
I am weirdly into this product. Ymmv but it never hurt on my calves/ankles (my hair there is very thin already). It did hurt on my knees, especially sides of knees, and armpits/thighs, but not enough to stop using it. Now it's more of a gentle pinch and it's more satisfying than painful -- I kinda look forward to it, honestly. Plus there's no risk of cutting myself or damaging my skin with wax. Not sure how much the flexible head helps on this model since it's my first epilator, but I don't have any trouble getting to curvy spots of my legs and armpits with it. Love the light on the device since I can see every little hair -- I wouldn't ever buy an epilator without a flashlight built in. To minimize pain in the first use, I would recommend shaving any area you want to epilate. Then run the epilator over the area every day for at least a week. Different hair grows at different speeds so you'll get a few hairs every day instead of all of them at once. Also, less pain (and less risk of the hair breaking at the root) if the hair is shorter when it gets epilated. I have had issues with ingrown hairs on my legs (prone to them with razors too because the hair is too thin and weak to push through the skin). I'm noticing probably 25% more ingrowns now, but I'm also noticing that the hairs growing back a very thin now, and some of my hair isn't growing back at all. If you have strawberry legs before epilation, you'll want to exfoliate before and after every shower to keep ingrowns at bay. Dry brushing and gold bond rough + bumpy lotion help, but I'm still looking for a better solution for bumps. Freshly epilated legs do have much less of a strawberry look than razor since there's no hair below the surface of your skin. One thing it's missing is an indicator for the mode. There's just a button so when I started I assumed the quieter/slower one was the mode for sensitive skin. Turns out the louder/faster one tends to be more comfortable since it grabs more at once (but isn't as thorough as the slow mode). Overall, this is the only hair removal you experience that doesn't fill me with dread. Strongly recommended for fellow humans who hate shaving.

Easy to use, and has reduced my need to shave dramatically.
OMG I love this. Being able to use it underwater I was able to get past the first few times to get used to epilating. The device has a shaving head for my face, and a trimmer for hair edges. Initially I used it every three days. Then every week, and now every 10 days. If you can take it the initial pain, I highly recommend this item over any hair removal method.

Not what I expected
First I'd like to say that this epilator does not have a pivoting head. It has a pivoting head piece. Which is an additional piece to add if you want to "prep your skin". If you remove this and use the bare piece for closer contact it does not move. So it does not contour your curves -knees etc The epilator does not hurt but does seem to pull skin which does not leave a nice smooth finish as its said to do. And I have to pass multiple times on long and or short hair as it doesn't get everything in one stroke. It's definitely time consuming . There was a battery in the trimmer which is barely functional which leads me to believe it was used and returned. I understand this can happen but at least give a new battery .

Terrible epilator
terrible epilator, not worth the money at all, epilators for 40 dollars do a better job. lets through hair, you have to go over the same place 20 times, I expected much more from such an expensive device, I regret buying it.
