Unlocking Deeper Health Understanding
The perfect partner to a Withings smartwatch for an integrated health view. The Withings Body Scan smart scales are a notable addition to my health routine. Their ease of use is clear from the start; the scales connect seamlessly, sending all details straight to the app without requiring my phone to be present. While all bioimpedance technology has its known caveats, the readings from the Body Scan feel consistent and provide useful feedback for tracking progress. What distinguishes these scales is the volume of valuable health metrics they capture. Having these diverse data points available to monitor is certainly helpful. This synergy with my Withings ScanWatch Nova is particularly beneficial. The combination of data from both the scales and the watch creates a more comprehensive health analysis, all conveniently housed within the insightful Withings app. This integrated approach has contributed to a better understanding of my health markers and potential areas for improvement. Aesthetically and tactilely, the Body Scan scales align well with the premium feel of other Withings products. They present as solid and well-made, reinforcing the sense of a quality investment in well-being.

Poor quality
Had for 6 months. Fine at first then i stopped getting fat composition readings. The scale was stored on its side and appears one of the items in the body has detached. Very poor quality and durability for such an expensive item. Almost impossible to get through to Withings or find how to deal with this post the 30 days refund period. Disappointed.

Bit pricy
But very in-depth analysis and they seem very accurate. Also it can import data from the Oura ring via the apple health app. which is useful. More important than the daily readings is the trend which it does beautifully. For me: worth the money, even if the price is a bit steep.

Touch the top 2 sensors for body comp to work
Many customers are writing that the body composition isnât working, itâs possible that theyâre holding the handle bar incorrectly Itâs important to make sure your thumbs are touching the 2 top sensors, hold the bar, then step on

Data-Driven, Deadly Accurate, and Weirdly Addictive
Slick design, and it tells you everythingâweight, body fat, muscle mass, even heart rate and nerve activity. Links straight to your phone. Great for tracking fitness goals or, letâs be honest, feeling smug after leg day.

Not for me
I'd been hoping to use these scales to make a bit more sense of weight loss plateaus and how it relates to body fat/ muscle / water retention. However, the results of the scale are just all over the place going up and down with no pattern. If anything it's left me more confused than I was before. Here's some "results" after 14 days of using the scales (I don't believe them, and neither should you, but these are what I got): over the 14 days I've lost 4.4pounds of fat and gained 2.5pounds of muscle (for reference, a realistic amount of muscle to gain in 2 weeks is 0.5-1pounds, a realistic amount of fat to loose is 1-4 pounds. I'm in no way dieting or exercising in any extreme way). In one individual day I lost 4.3 pounds of body fat - and on that same day gained 2.7 pounds of muscle. On another day I gained almost a pound of body fat in my arms??? (this is not where my fat goes, believe me...). Oh and the muscle I gained? according to the app almost all in my torso - very peculiar since I keep not doing core exercises, and most of my training is focused towards legs with some occasional arm exercises. It's very consistently showing me as underhydrated. I drink anywhere between 2.5-4l of water in a day, pee very frequently and my urine is a very pale colour - so in other words, zero signs of dehydration. I've weighed consistently in the morning, at the same time, wearing the same clothes, after going to the loo. I don't drink alcohol or have caffeine but of course I do work out more on some days than others. I've also had some issues with the user interface - at some point it congratulated me for having lost 2 stone and 11 pounds on the program (no clue where it got that from - the difference between the two extremes in those two weeks was 3.9 pounds). Also some graphs got all clumped together and were unreadable. Another thing they don't really advertise is that to use all the features of the scale you need to wear some clothes (since if body parts eg legs are touching each other the readings are invalid), and you have to keep standing on them for well over 30 seconds (if you look at their explanations why results vary they say that if you move while the process is ongoing that may invalidate the results - but i challenge you to stand perfectly still while holding the weird arm thingy for 30 seconds. even just breathing will make you move ever so slightly). So now in order to try to get consistent results, I'm changing into a "weighing outfit" in the morning, standing on them for about 45 seconds, then changing back out of it. Now this would be worth it if the results were consistent, but they're simply not so it's just a huge waste of time. With the amount of time this takes, I could just get my ÂŁ1 measuring tape and take all my body measurements at least every other day, which would be more consistent and probably give me a better idea of what's going on. On the upside - I had no issues with the Nerve Health measurement as others reported (finally an advantage of sweaty feet!). Overall a very expensive gadget that did not provide any value for me. I don't know if it just doesn't know how to deal with my (obese) body type and if it works better with more "normal" bodies, if I just got a dud, or if it really just is that bad.

Faulty after 3 weeks of use
Good product but the handle stopped retracting 3 weeks after we started using it which is disappointing. I am waiting for Amazon/Withings to reply and hope to receive a replacement.

I have been a Withings scale user for more than 10 years, and other than the Nokia period, Iâve been a big fan. A 1-star review from a longtime brand user should tell you something important. I broke my Body Smart scale and decided to upgrade. Iâve been diligently losing weight and I wanted to target and track building muscle in my legs. When the scale was delivered, I was immediately shocked at the weight. This thing is HEAVY. That may not matter to you if you keep it setup in a stationary location, but due to my bathroom setup, I have to move it every morning. Despite the weight, I was still excited to try it. Setup is cumbersome and there is very little info or support. The first EKG needs to be sent to a third party for review before that feature will work. Itâs not a long process (mine cleared in about 2 hours, but the tell you it can take up to 24 hours), but I think it took about 6 attempts before I got a reading that could be reviewed. Most of my readings come back inconclusive. Even as of day 2, I only get inconclusive readings. There could be 2 issues for me: if heart rate is over 100 without AFiB, it fails; I also see that if it detects a bundle branch block it will fail. I have a known right bundle branch block, so maybe the failures make sense, but then I question the few âregular sinus rhythmâ readings. Weight, fat, muscle, and visceral fat readings were inconsistent. Every time I stepped on the scale (and I did it a LOT last night when the scale arrived) I had a different reading. Weight fluctuated 8 lbs over 10 readings a span of less than 30 minutes. Even the closest readings on this to those of my Body Smart scale were way off. The scale has decided I am gaining fat and losing muscle (thatâs completely wrong) and the app is now showing my BMI as stable, despite having lost 40 lbs in 3 months. As if this scale wasnât bad enough, I made a monumental effort in trying to get the segmented body comp readings to work. First, your arms and legs cannot touch each other or your torso. This, unless you have a huge thigh gap, you must wear âlight clothing.â That suggestion didnât work. Your feet have to be dry to use the scale, but the app suggested my rabidly comp readings were failing because my feet were dry â that youâre supposed to use the scale right out of the shower. So I did that, too, to no avail. You canât tell from the scale whether your body comp was successful. It only gives you readings on the display for % fat, % muscle, and visceral fat â the segmented readings are only available through the app, and if they fail, you Genoâs know until you go into the app. Even worse, the app doesnât tell you most of the time â the readings just arenât there. Amazonâs return policy is a bit infuriating. Because I opened the scale, my refund will take 30 days after receipt of the product, plus 7 days for bank processing. 37 days for a refund on a $400 brick is unacceptable. And get this â these Black Friday deals? Theyâre ripping us off!! I fell for it and thatâs why I upgraded. I now realize that they raised the prices, are giving a Black Friday discount, but the actual prices are higher than normal. For example, I bought a brand new Body Smart on Amazon for $79.99 in April 2025. The BF deal on the same scale is $109.99! And Amazonâs âprice historyâ tool doesnât go back far enough to see the true history. But Iâve got receipts!! SeriouslyâŠdonât waste your money on this. I am probably going to replace my shattered Body Smart, but Iâm so upset with this purchase, I am considering brands other than Withings before I make the purchase.

Product is good, However, itâs delivered by Amazon us and set up for ECG is problematic as itâs for US locations only (still not able to use it even though I bought the scale for this particular feature).

Bilancia pronta allâuso dopo installazione app e registrazione.
