Struggled with earphones so I wanted to change. Didn’t want to pay excessive amounts at a piercing place just to change my earring. This is easy to use. One tricky part was putting the earring in my ear hole but I think that’s more down to angle of my piercing and less on the earring itself. Ball is a bit tricky to secure into place but once it’s on, it stays on. The ball hasn’t fallen off or anything. My ears can be sensitive but I’ve had no reactions or infections with this earring. While the product is fine and is as described, I realised I should have done more research really as all the stainless steel studs have a thin base that is actually kind of sharp and cuts into the inside of the lip. Have since switched to titanium studs which usually come with a much thicker base (and not much different in cost). My advice: go directly to one of the online piercing retailers if you would rather preserve the inside of your lips. Ordered a 12mm, seemed too long and when I measured it (without the ball) it was 13.34mm. However, thinking I'd been sent the wrong one I told the supplier and soon received a new "10"mm and "12"mm bar.
