It does remove gel polish exactly as described; however, if you use Modelones Builder Gel in a Bottle, it will remove that as well. I checked with Gellen and read all the instructions and it started that it only removed gel nail polish. I actually liked that it removed my builder gel as well because I was able to have a fresh set and didn't have to fill them. Since I'm new at DIY gel nail polish and gel extensions, Gellen came in clutch for easy repairs and redos! Love the Latex , too.
