These pool pump covers are a little small for irrigation pump motors but help keep most sun and rain off.

slips right on the pump and keeps it dry even in heavy rain.

While the cover is fairly universal I feel it doesnt for exactly on the pump motor housing. Use caution in spreading the mounts when installing because most likely you will have to bend the item to fit as it is slightly undersized and the plastic could break. I dont feel that this cover could withstand even one good impact of any kind. With that being said this cover has stayed in place through torrential rain, wind, and blazing hot sun. My pump runs constantly during daylight hours and consistantly stays a neutral temperature by touch when using this cover. Without the cover and the black pump casing heats up immediately. I definitely feel that this cover is extending the life of my pump motor by keeping it cool and protecting it from the elements. I would recommend giving it a try and would get another one if this one should break.

More suitable for a motor with a diameter of about inches or so. It worked on my 1.5 hp motor, but sides bulge out because my motor is kinda "fat".
