Trouble sees trouble.
Another delightful entry to the Trouble Cat Mysteries series. Trouble is in the Summer Valley area and detects trouble with a new Biped. This one definitely needs Trouble's expertise in both solving mysteries, murder, and mayhem in addition to matters of the heart.

The ending really threw me for a loop in this one. Talk about one big twist!!
I have read a book featuring Trouble before. The title: Familiar Trouble (Familiar Legacy Book 1)-Carolyn Haines. It seems that the Trouble mystery series is written by several different authors. And so far I have loved all that I have read.Avery Wilson was recently divorced from her husband who had a tendency to gamble away all her hard earned money. Her step daughter stayed with her. They had built up the Summer Valley Ranch together--Dirk Hanna appeared from the federal government to discover why payments were being taken from the ranch supposedly to help veterans rehabilitate with the use of horses. This was Avery's dream--to help ex servicemen. She didn't know that the ranch had already been approved!Trouble--an extremely intelligent black cat owned by a friend of Avery showed up as Avery finally won in the divorce proceedings. He immediately had to protect Avery from her ex as any smart cat would do--then he followed her back to the ranch. You see Trouble was a cat who is very good at investigating--but even he had a bit of trouble with this one. So between being very careful near those large animals--being chased by colts across fields-Trouble has a running commentary in his mind. The ending really threw me for a loop in this one. Talk about one big twist!! Thankfully Trouble was able to figure it out before it was too late (almost) and was able to grab Dirk's attention--after all--there is only so much a cat can do!

Good Mystery
Avery came out from the courthouse surprised, her ranch was still hers, the dream was still hers. Dirk come to evesluste the place for federal funding. She puts him up in the guest house, while there he is seeing the mischief and costly damage being done, Doubling up to protect the horses, and to find who was behind it all. Her ex had gambling debts, and she didn’t know who he had been for several years, it still didn’t seem like him. When Dirk left to turn in his report would he be back. Enjoyable story, that keep one guessing whi was behind and why.

Could the man she once loved be that cruel
Avery Wilson has had a hard year and some. Now, at last, her divorce is final and she's ready to put the betrayal and hurt behind her. All she wants is to focus on her horses, the business she has worked so hard to build, and the desire to help people struggling emotionally through equine therapy. That is her goal when she leaves the steps of the courthouse but someone has other plans for her and she doesn't know who is turning her life into a nightmare and threatening the animals she loves and depends on. Could the man she once loved be that cruel? Would her ex actually harm his own daughter to get at Avery? Enter a handsome stranger named Dirks Hanna who's motives are not clear and you have a mystery that involves my three favorite things; hunky men, beautiful horses, and a very clever black cat.The mystery is intricate, the characterization of the people of Summer Valley is spot on, and Trouble, the Sherlock of black cat detectives is on the case. An entertaining read by a writer who draws true to life characters. You'll love this story.

Very entertaining and well worth the read!
It is amazing too me that different writers are writing this series, but they all keep with the consistency of the character which is "Trouble," the cat detective.I like a good mystery almost as much as I like romance. The writer of this story, whether conscious or not did give out hints who the culprit was through her awesome character analysis, but then she also made made me doubt that I was right as the story unfolded. It went back and forth between they were or they were not the person behind the whole scheme. Added to the mix is a 'Troubled" romance where these two people aren't sure they can trust one another because of the circumstances surrounding them meeting in the first place. Great story. Well worth reading. The only thing I didn't like was it is always sad for me when the adventure comes to an end.

Enjoyed this one
Another good Trouble the Cat Detective book. I wondered why, throughout the scenes of Troubles point of view, why he never called the two main characters by thir names; only giving them nicknames. Once did he call the FMC by her name. It took a bit away from the story for me. Despite that, it was a very enjoyable book.

Cowboy Trouble
Susan Tanner has written a great contribution to the Familar/Trouble Legacy. Susan does a fabulous job of weaving a twisting, turning detective story into the world of equine therapy horses. Trouble is on the job once again at a friend of Tammy Lynn's helping in his unique inimitable way to bring justice to a dedicated horsewoman just when she needs it the most. Delightful read.

Excellent story
Who doesn't love horses and mysteries with a bit of romance thrown in. Wonderful depth of the horse rescue and therapy aspect as well as a mystery that kept you wondering who did it and how it all ties together. I love that Trouble plays such a huge part in the story giving his feline insights.

Engaging story.
Loved Trouble, the adorable black cat who turns up in time to help Avery with her troubles. It was told from Trouble's p.o.v. and gave a different side to the mystery. Emotions ran deep with betrayal, love, humour, bitterness, suspense and love. I would recommend this book to anyone whe enjoys a good read.
