I keep a bar in the shower and one by the sink to use as hand soap.The normal pH of skin is between 4.5 and 6.2. And normal vaginal pH level is between 3.8 and 4.5. Water has a neutral pH of 7, anything below is acidic and anything above is alkaline. Our skin is naturally acidic, but most soap bars have pH levels of 9 or 10, which are too alkaline for the skin. I love that this soap has the same pH of skin and doesn't dry out skin like alkaline soap bars do.HairFor the longest time, I used diluted liquid castile soap as shampoo and then rinsed with diluted vinegar as a conditioner. It was a bit of pain having to mix the vinegar rinse every time I showered, but I didn’t mind and did it for years.After using this cleansing bar to wash my body, I decided one day to try this cleansing bar on my hair after remembering a friend telling me about using shampoo bars. My hair was so soft afterwards, I couldn’t believe it. No conditioner needed because of its low pH. And it made so much sense since the pH of hair is between 4.5 and 5.5.FaceI was hesitant to try this bar on my face at first, I wasn’t sure how it would react. But after the first time, I was sold. I’ve only washed my face with this bar ever since (it’s been over 6 months now).I’m bad about washing my face; I do it about every 2 or 3 days. When I wet my face to prepare for washing, I can feel the rough/bumpiness of dead skin on my forehead. After lathering on this soap once or twice, my face feels very smooth. It feels like it’s sloughed away all the dead skin cells. I don’t even use toner afterwards, just a vitamin C serum and moisturizer. And I think my skin looks pretty good.TravelI usually don’t like the shampoos and soaps offered by hotels, so prefer to bring my own. I bought a travel soap holder from Amazon (ASIN: B075D32CG3). I let the soap dry on the plastic rack before storing it back in the soap box.Likes:- pH of 4.5- can be used on face, body, and hair- replaces shampoo, body wash, face wash, hand wash- easy to travel with- fresh lemon scentDislikes:- not fully transparent about ingredients (apparently due to manufacturer and not company)Summary: I no longer buy face wash or shampoo because I just use this bar soap for everything.

I have tried this soap and it's the best soap for cleaning your face as dryness is far far less than if you would wash your face with regular soap! It's perfect because of the ph of the bar is 6.5, and thats the same ph as our skin so you have less harmful effects when you want a clean face. I use it 6 times a week, i wet my face with only water on the off day just to give my skin a break from constant washing, because like with anything you will get dry. I use 2 types of moisturizers when im feeling extra dry, one is called Montana Emu Ranch Replenishing lotion and the other one is called Skin MD Natural, i use these before bed when i feel extra dry. If you feel dry using this its usually right after you wash, but after a few mins it goes away completely. That's what i like about this soap, it's far less harsh than what i usually used (clean and clear, regular hand soap, etc.). When i used those harsh cleansers like regular soap i broke out constantly with large lumps and puss filled acne, and got dry patches and redness in the face. With this, my face is so luxuriously soft and normal-feeling. I no longer get that oil bed on my forehead and the breakouts are 99% non existant. If you have acne or skin problems, dryness problems, get this stuff!

What happened?! I have been using this soap for several years now and I just want the old formula back. It was the best soap on the planet but now the new formula was like washing with melted candle wax. It was awful in my hair. I had to get another shampoo to wash the waxy film out of my hair. The old formula made my hair look luxurious Now it’s just sad looking.It also left a waxy film on my face. The old formula left my skin smooth and was brightening for my face.Also the old formula was low PH and worked great, not only for your hair but also, on your lady parts. Now there is no mention of the PH level of the soap, which was the whole reason I used to buy this soap. I tried other low PH soaps but nothing compared to the old formula of this soap.Lastly, whoever decided to change the formula of this soap also thought it would be a good idea to make it smell like lemon-pinesol. Why? Who wants to smell like a mop bucket. Just bring back the old formula!! It was the best soap in the world. I won’t be buying the new formula soap. It’s totally different now. Waxy and not the same PH. Very sad.

I’ve been using this cleansing bar for years. It’s way better than soap. It has a wonderful lemon scent and my skin assimilates it well and it feels really healthy. It also seems to heal skin issues like small cuts or scrapes so whatever the ingredients are, they’re helping my skin’s health. It’s definitely worth the cost.
