This makes those keys work correctly for non-qwerty keyboard layout users! Physical design: The individual key switches are also socketed, which was a pleasant surprise! It made switch replacement easy and a no-soldering operation. They also built this keyboard with a thin foam pad under the key switches, and a thick foam pad between the key switch frame and the PCB, which makes the whole thing very quiet, when using quiet switches.
