First time on vinyl release of the 'Suspended In Dusk' version of the seminal album 'Bloody Kisses' from legendary goth metal band, Type O Negative. Formed in Brooklyn in 1989 by Peter Steele, Kenny Hickey, Josh Silver and Sal Abruscato, who was later replaced by drummer, Johnny Kelly. This version of the album features a different cover with an alternate photo from the John Wadsworth shoot, an alternate tracklist with 9 songs, some varying lengths from the original and now includes the song 'Suspended In Dusk'. Review: Excellent Pressing - Just to clear a few things up - this is a re-release of the 1993 digipak re-release which featured alternate artwork and an alternate track listing. This is not a new-for-2024 set then... from Wiki: "The new track listing revised the running order and removed all of the soundscape interludes and the two "hardcore" songs ("Kill All The White People" and "We Hate Everyone") and replaced them with a previously unreleased, over eight minute long, slow and very "gothic" sounding track titled, "Suspended In Dusk". The intro track, "Machine Screw" and the first four seconds of the song, "Christian Woman" were also removed on this release, omitting Peter Steele's spoken intro to the track ("Forgive her...")." Now, my copy does feature the first four seconds of Christian Woman so I don't know if that has been added specifically for this set. As far as the vinyl itself, this is a wonderful pressing. Quiet throughout and no cracks and pops like nearly every new release these days. The music stands up 30 years later and I look forward to a new pressing of October Rust hopefully soon. This is probably the best record I have so far bought in 2024, insofar as both the music and quality of pressing it concerned. Review: Long live Type O! - A great pressing of a classic album. The track listing has been re-arranged for this release, and the original interludes and intro’s are gone completely, but all you need are the proper songs so it’s all good. Nice looking vinyl and well packaged.
