It works great in keeping your blink camera powered. Even on the cloudy days, it seems to be charging it. It's easy to set up although pay attention to the mounting holes since I made them larger because instead of screws, I mounted it high up on my rain spout and secured it with zip ties that were larger and thicker than the holes could accommodate. So you may have to have somewhat a DIY background when it comes to the mounting piece. Also, be sure you charge it first before using it as the battery has a limited charge and will charge to full much slower via solar. The idea is you charge it to full and then it's just topping itself off from the solar panel as the camera is used. It's nice having constant power since I like to have a live view of what's going on in the front yard while I'm at work or away in general. Recommended.

We got these to try out with our blink outdoor security cameras. There are a few spots outside that are inconvenient for running wiring and also trying to change out the batteries when needed. So we wanted to try a solar charging mount. We put these up early spring and have had no issues. This year we've already had several thunderstorms, hail and a freak blizzard and have not had any issues with our camera. Staying fully charged and this mount keeping the camera safely secured. The material seems very durable as it has stood up to multiple rounds of hail, 60 plus miles an hour winds and days of super hot sunlight. We've had no issues of connectivity to the charging or our Network using this mount. The direct Sun exposure does not seem to have any effect on this Mount. This product was great value for the money. We highly recommend this mount to anyone with blank cameras needing a solar charging mount.

They do the job and are well made.

Trying to plug input plug in for initial charge, found plug very hard insert, plug not centered in housing, and no light to indicate initial charge complete, don’t know if it’s charging or not. Other then that seems to be good quality

Mine only worked for a couple of months ..then stopped working. Past 30 days, so was unable to return it. FEB 24, 2025 CORRECTION: ..I originally left a terrible review above. I’m back now to correct that 1 star review ..& have now given it a full 5 star rating. “The problem was was caused by me” Simply, I had not inserted one of the USBC connectors firmly ..all the way into the jack. Going out to remove the camera, I found that the USBC lead from the solar panel was not pushed all the way into its counter sunk USBC socket. Therefore the battery was not being charged. That meant that for the last month & a half the internal battery was not getting charged but amazingly, even after a month covered with snow while off, when plugged it all the way in, it immediately powered up my Blink gen 4 camera. A GREAT PRODUCT AFTER ALL ..

I bought this because of the positive reviews, but sadly my experience did not meet basic expectations. I followed the instructions carefully — I charged it for the recommended 3–4 hours (I charged for a full 4 hours) before first use. The first couple of days were great. The Blink camera worked perfectly and stayed online. Unfortunately, on the third day, the Blink suddenly went offline. When I plugged the camera straight into the wall, it worked again — so the camera itself is fine. The solar panel just did not charge at all. For reference, the panel’s location gets about 8–9 hours of direct sunlight daily, so lack of sun wasn’t the issue. I love the design: the mount is sleek, installs easily, and protects the camera from rain. I really wanted this to work — I just wish the solar charging actually worked as advertised. I’m still on the hunt for a solar panel that will actually keep my Blink charged.

This works well IF the camera is not oriented to the north. Not a fault of the product…just physics. To use solar power, the panel needs to face the sun with ideally a souther exposure. The panel can be adjusted to compensate somewhat, but from the north? No!

Bought a 2nd after waiting to see how the first performed. Flawless and incredibly easy to install. No more battery changes for high traffic cameras!
