Having lived & worked overseas in Germany as I did for over 30 years, experiencing from the folk around me first-hand the art of fermenting all kinds of wonderful vegetables, the healthy art of fermentation quickly became a passion of mine. Making naturally fermented Sauerkraut really struck a chord and I love it to this day! It is truly fascinating that a basic vegetable delivers far greater quantities of nutritional benefit to us once fermented than it does before the art and the magic of fermentation takes place. All these years later, back in West Sussex where I grew up, I'm still fermenting vegetables, still perfecting the nutritious food we make for you to enjoy and benefit from in a really healthy way! From experience, we recommend eating 30-50g per portion prior to each of your daily meals. After a little while you'll feel the wonderful affects & effects as I do on a daily basis... I bought this product to improve my digestion and to improve my gut flora. I have tried others before it that didn't really hit the spot. This one is delicious and I consider it good value for money because it is handmade with care - a genuine sauerkraut made the traditional way, unpasteurised (which is so important if you are taking it to improve your health). I will definitely be buying this one from now on - I know I won't find a better product out there!

I started buying this because I wanted to start eating food that would benefit my gut flora. I lived in Germany for many years and they would always tell me how healthy sauerkraut was ... I really liked it too. I would never compare the price of this product with supermarket suaerkraut because it is just not the same product, or anywhere close to it. That would be like comparing a glass of milk with a glass of wine! The supermarket brands do not have the live bacteria. I have tried other brands of fermented sauerkraut but this is by the the best, I love the taste. I did try to make my own about a year ago but that idea went in the bin ... together with the sauerkraut. So will always buy from this company now. I have just ordered the Kimchi of which I am yet to try.
