Nice looking boot
Seems a good boot. Went up half a size for thicker socks and fit is good.

Leaked after a few months
Unfortunately after just a few months these boots leaked although keeping them clean and spraying them with waterproofer. When this didn't work I used waterproof cream and later Dubbin. After less than a year I noticed splits. I used them for just two or three miles a day so they didn't have excessive use.

2nd pair
Really comfortable boots, however my previous pair had a vibram sole 'Ravine Hi Tec pro womens boots' and were definitely more comfortable. Thought I was buying an identical pair, when buying again I'd make sure the sole is vibram. The boots are still really comfortable and are identical in every other way, I notice the difference on a long hike day.

Too narrow
I bought a pair Ravine boots a few years ago and they were comfortable and perfect with no need to break them in. The exact same boots I've recently bought to replace my old pair, are much narrower and hurt my feet, causing blisters, especially when worn with thick walking socks. I've worn them several times on walks of various lengths, and they are still causing me problems even with thinner socks.I've always bought Hi Tec walking boots in the past because they're usually so comfortable, so I feel I've wasted my money this time and, because I've worn them I feel you won't be able to replace them or give me my money back.

Very comfortable boots. Also provide good grip and good ankle support walking on the fells. Very pleased!
This is my first pair of walking boots and while looking around on here I saw these were on sale in my size for £22.99 so thought I would give them a go as I didn't have too much to lose at that price. I'm only a novice walker wanting to start walking on the fells and wasn't expecting too much and thought they'd do me for now. When they first arrived and I tried them on I was blown away by how comfortable they were and also because the quality seemed so good. It has taken me a few months to actually get around to wearing them but they were equally impressive when in use.I went fell walking on the weekend and was a bit dubious about whether my boots would live up to the challenge. I thought they might hurt my feet and not offer much grip at all but they really did. My ankles felt so supported, I couldn't believe it! Also, they gripped really well on the rocks which I was worried might be a bit slippy. I did have the occasional slip but it was quite difficult terrain and the same thing happened to my boyfriend whose walking boots cost about ten times the price of mine! I had no problems at all and you would never know the difference in cost on our walk because there were no issues with the boots at all. Going up was pretty steep but the descent was even worse. Thank god for these boots is all I can say. These were a great buy and I'm so glad that Hi-Tec was recommended to me for walking boots.

Love them
I had a smaller size of these boots and decided to go up a size. They are the most comfortable walking shoe I have had. They are very supportive of my feet.

Best boots I have had!!
I have had a pair of these boots for years now that I bought from go outdoors, when it came to looking for another pair mine were called summit but it turns out that the ravine are identical and that go outdoors must change the name. I have bought my second pair which is a much better price but I was willing to pay the same as last time. They are comfortable right from the start no need to wear them in, I walk my dog so wear these 2-3 times a day. I am a size 5 and bought a 5 which have always been fine for me, but if you want a little extra space you might want to go a size up but I have never tried a 6 on. I have had loads of different types of walking boots from places like mountain warehouse that say they are 100% waterproof and they really weren't, these are the best boots I have had and are waterproof, I will continue to get these boots in future as long as they are still available.

Good boot with good support
The first pair of hi-tec boots I had for 5/6 years until they started letting in water. The last pair I had cracked very badly after @ 18 months so decided to go for a pair a little bit more expensive this time with thicker leather. Only had them a week but used every day to walk the dog through wet stubble fields with no problems yet and give good support. Only gave 4 stars as I feel the sole is a bit harder than my old boots.
