Great day pack

Bought this for my 7 year old nephew for our Alaskan cruise. I was worried it might have been small for what we needed due to the pictures and descriptions but it turned out to be the perfect size for him. He is 40 inches tall and it does not look small on him at all. Day 1 of the trip we packed a set of pjs, change of outfit, a pair of shoes and his medications in case our luggage was lost. Daily he carries his water bottle, a set of clothes, socks and his slides that we clip through the top clips. It was great for him to carry his own necessities. Final day, since there was no need to carry extra clothes, all his souvenirs were thrown in and he happily carried them off the ship. He didn't complain about any discomfort. Minus 1 star for tablet pocket ripped towards the bottom but we didn't bring one so had no use for it.Possible improvements:Cinched waterbottle holders, the current elastic ones are fine for kid size bottles (16oz under) which is okay for short trips but longer hikes we'd love to be able to squeeze a bigger size water bottle and not worry about it falling out.Additional clips or bungee system in the front pack to hold things like jackets, hats, bags, etc.Overall was glad I purchased it.
