Works perfectly with some models of FLIR DVRs.
I'm sure glad that Amazon sells these. It seems everyone with FLIR DVRs needs to replace the CPU fan every couple of years. I'd been trying to fix the original DVR fan and while the fix worked for awhile, every couple of months I'd have to go back in and try again. These are inexpensive enough that I can buy a couple and just replace them as needed. I just wish the fam lasted longer than it does.June 2018 followup - while I'm still glad these are available here, the one I purchased in January of this year has already failed. These fans just don't last very long. It's obviously a poor design. With that said, I guess I'll order more since I need them to keep my FLIR DVR running. Sigh... I'm going to try to find a large box-type fan that I can install in the DVR to provide better cooling.

Perfect replacement fan
My older Lorax surveillance box fan failed and this was a perfect fit and works well

Perfect replacement
This fan was a perfect replacement for the old fan on my security cameras DVR. The old fan continually got louder and louder to the point of annoyance. The new fan is not whisper quiet either but considerably quieter than the old one. Easy fix. I did not see in the fans description that it came with thermal paste so I bought some. It did however come with some so I used it instead of the extra I bought unnecessarily.

I have had success with this product, it’s a Good Replacement Fan for Lorex LHV2000 Series DVR
This is my Second time purchasing (re-purchase) of this product, for a different Lorex DVR LHV2000 Series. My first purchase was in August 2018, for a client of mine. I just checked their DVR (Nov 2019), and it’s still running strong! That’s One year Two months and counting, since I repaired their DVR, using this product.Because of that result, This purchase is for my own, personal Lorex DVR. I’m crossing my fingers, I have the same success! After reading other reviews, I am concerned about longevity. I think cleanliness is a factor, so I will be cleaning the vents and any dust. One review is interesting to me, the reviewer talks about a better quality (dual bearing) fan he uses. I will be looking into this. Concluding, I am happy with this purchase, that I bought it again, and so far it has worked for me. Good luck to you!(My first review in Aug 2018) - This is a Replacement Fan for Lorex LHV2000 Series DVR Circuit Board. Very easy to replace. My Lorex security camera DVR began rebooting itself over and over again. Lorex customer service did not diagnose this. It was over heating. After opening the case, I noticed the fan had dust marks, and was not spinning. I spun it with my finger, and the fan began to spin again. I decided to replace fan. Begin by unplugging fan. Unscrew the circuit board from the case. Turn circuit board over and use needle nose pliers to squeeze pins close, and push out, (from back side). Install new fan using same holes, by pushing the pins through the holes. Reattach circuit board to case. Plug in fan. Close case. Done!

Heat sink not of much value changed fan only
This item was ordered for a Lorex camera box. The heat sink is attached to the fan. You will need some mini screw drivers to change this out. You must have the correct screw driver or you will strip the screw head. The fan had some dust on it so it may have been installed before, or the dust came from QC testing. The heat sink is mounted to the circuit board. The connection to the board is made with plastic standoff clips. Thus you will have to get between the board and the heat sink to compress the clips. I did not have a plastic tool to do this with, and did not want to do with metal needle nose pliers. So I just swapped out the fan. The fan has a hum so you know it is working. The old failing fan made a lot more noise, so you knew it was failing. In short I swapped the fan out and left the old heat sink.

Works like OEM
This is the third one of these I have replaced in the last 6 years. I guess I can't expect more that 3 years at 24 hrs per day that's over 26K hours. Just wish they were priced a bit lower. Install is easy just make sure you have good contact with the cpu (heat sink compound)

Stopped constant rebooting in Q-See DVR
Actual install was about one minute. New heatsink/fan assembly was quiet. Don't forget, you will need some silicon thermal grease between the processor and this heatsink/fan assembly.

I used this to replace a bad fan in a Q-See DVR (QC918) and so far it's working great. I ended up not using the case and just replaced the fan itself. The screws were a bit bigger than the original, so I used the original screws and everything fit together nicely. Much cheaper than having to buy a new system or pay well over a $100 to get it fixed.
