Having purchased the Azdome WiFi security camera as an addition to our home security system and being very pleasantly surprised I thought I would try out the Azdome Dash camera. I was thinking about purchasing it when I made the order for the home security camera but at the time I thought will I really need it? Well that decision was made for me when Somebody very narrowly missed running into the side of me on my way to work the other day, my logic was that if I was unfortunate enough to be involved in an accident that wasn't my fault it would pay for itself ten times over if the blame could not be proved and my car insurance premiums were to rise as a result. This item arrived today and I honestly could not be happier with it. The resolution is very good and I am so relieved I didn't purchase a much more expensive camera as this does exactly what I need it to do and more. Having only had a brief play and a short drive around with it this afternoon I'm certain I still need to tweak a few settings to get it set up exactly the way I want it but I will do that when I get around to it as it is working brilliantly straight out of the box. Formatting the SD card and installing the camera (Plugging it in to the cigarette lighter) was quick and easy to do and I was driving around within ten minutes I must say I am very impressed with the recorded video quality it is much better than I expected it to be and just as impressive is how easy it is to watch and save the videos back on my PC as a lot of electrical items nowadays seem to make thing far more complicated than they should be when communicating with other devices. I also found the packaging to be a very nice touch as the item is well packaged (as you can see from one of my pictures) there is also a thank you card in there with support details which I always find to be a pleasant surprise, It helps me feel confident that for any reason should anything go wrong I will have after-sales support rather than fighting tooth and nail to get any form of help. I highly recommend this item and will be buying another very shortly for the Fiancees car as Azdome are rapidly becoming a brand I trust to get high quality items for a very competitive price.

I can’t remember the last time I purchased an item with a usb Mini B connection. As I was using this to replace a previous dashcam with Micro B I could not use the previously installed cable. It actually comes with a manual you can hold. I found it very good. It clearly explains all the options you have when setting it up. 10 out of 10 for this. The suction cup seams very secure. Up and running in no time. Video quality is good to very good. Basically, it’s there all the time now. I have it set up so the screens comes on for the first minute I switch the engine on, so I know it’s working, then I forget about it. If you want to you can view the videos over the machine Wi-Fi, but on a phone details are poor. If you take the card out and view it on a computer with the proper app, the information it contains is amazing It comes with a duel car charger adaptor. Its small and well made (will not come apart), rated as 5 amps. You will need a high speed memory card to go with it.

Lightweight & quality design. Easy setup, Easily understood use guide & menu. All necessary accessories included. Preset default settings ready-made which you can tweak if you want to. HD quality video & photos. The loop video recording is continuation from the last clip, unlike the dashcam previously owned that had few seconds of footage missing at beginning of the next loop (meaning Important scenes may not be captured in those vital seconds not recorded). It connects to the wifi easily, videos & photos can be viewed on connected devices. Gps signal is strong & accurate which is the main reason I bought this, unlike the other previously owned. The only disappointment is that the map tracking location is only available when reviewed on computer & not on the mobile app. When viewed on mobile app it only displays N,W,S,E(waypoints/longitude-latitude). Also Google maps doesn't work on the player, although openstreetmap does work fine. Overall better investment & value for money compared to others in the market.

We were recommended to get a HD dash cam and this has certainly proved to be very worth the purchase. Prior dash cams we've owned have been pretty poor or just about adequate, but when you buy cheap products and pay small prices, it shouldn't be a surprise when ultimately they fail. Very pleased we took the advice and grabbed this on lightning deal. This camera has been so easy to set up. The GPS and wifi functions are really handy, the GPS tells you your speed and shows you where you are on a map on playback through the computer. The wifi allows you to connect the dash cam to your phone so you can view the footage or save videos on your phone. There's probably way more capabilities than this from that feature but so far it's all we've needed to use. Quality of the video and audio is absolutely outstanding. Camera size is small enough to fit neatly behind the rear view mirror so it doesn't obscure the drivers view, a massive plus for us. It's incredibly impressive on all scores. A brilliant bit of kit and a worthwhile purchase.

Just a heads-up, some of this review is more aimed towards other filmmakers and image enthusiasts, rather than just the average consumer. I had to update the review with this: The biggest issue I have with it, is the data corruption and why it gets only 1 star, after using it for a long time now. Several different types and speeds of sd card have been tried to no avail. What's the point of recording possible incidents when the data is unusable? See image attached to see the amount of corrupt videos to readable ones. I bought this cam over others because I'm a documentary filmmaker and thought, if I'm going to have a car based camera, with the places I go, I may as well have a usable quality one in case I need it. So my review may not matter to the average consumer. Navigation through the menu is a bit of a pain as, when you're trying to access the menu, the auto-record kicks in as you press the button thinking there's been an impact. Build quality is good compared to other dash cams in a similar price bracket. The field of view in 4k is very warped and therefore unusable (for me). The 1080p60 is great for dashcam use. If thats all you want then make sure youre happy with the price, check other dashcams around it. The huge let down for me is the 4K boast which feels more like an interpolated upscaling than native 4K. The footage on a computer shows terrible glitches and artifacting. I think I was expecting it to be at least as good as my gopro 4 black which is several years old but is unusable for anything apart from a dash cam. I think tbh, they missed the boat here with adding in 4k and a 720 so-mo as if trying to appeal to the gopro user market when its clearly not adequate for ‘keeping’ footage. This is why i gave it an average rating because i ordered it i feeling it was trying to justify itself as a pocket camera thats always in my car and could be grabbed quickly to capture something id want to keep. It even has an internal battery and can hold a charge away from a power source which made me feel it was suggesting a versatility of use but sadly, no. I was also driving around seeing if i could rely on it as a locations capture method for my notes but it was no good in 4k which was the main selling point for me.

Got this for my car I am quite happy with it, but there is one thing that’s annoying me which is the Wi-Fi because my phone is hooked up to my car using Wi-Fi. I cannot use both so my phone keeps cutting out when I’m trying to access the camera.

The image quality is excellent by day but at night it is not possible to read number plates. I could not find a way to get it to adjust automatically for Winter and Summer Time and doing so via the app is not straightforward so I just keep it on GMT. I also quickly found that I wanted to add a rear camera but this is not possible. Good value but not perfect.

La llevo usando desde hace más de 2 años y no he tenido ningún problema con ella, salvo que se me rompió una pestañita para engancharla a la ventosa, pero hablé con atención al cliente y me cambiaron la cámara sin poner ninguna pega. La calidad de imagen es buena. De noche un poquito así así, pero como todas las cámaras. Es muy fácil de usar con la app o si lo prefieres, con la tarjeta para pasarlo al ordenador. La recomiendo mucho.

Heb hem nu een week in gebruik in de vrachtwagen. Bevalt super goed. Met de app kun je de live meekijken, de dashcam bedienen of de instellingen veranderen. Eén minpuntje, zodra ik een tunnel uitkom en hij pakt het GPS signaal weer op dan verspringt gelijk de tijd. Maar met de app is dat eenvoudig weer goed te zetten.

Excellent produit, intuitif, avec application sur le téléphone tout aussi intuitive que la dashcam ! Langue française disponible, plusieurs réglages de qualité d'image vidéo et photo. La position GPS du véhicule est disponible ainsi que la vitesse. J'avais peur que la protubérance de l'obturateur gêne sur le pare-brise de mon poids-lourds, mais non. Une ventouse est proposée ainsi qu'un support à coller au choix. Pour l'application, elle est disponible sur les stores et apparaît sous le nom de AZDOME sur Play Store mais sous le nom de NexioMe sur le téléphone !? Pour visionner les vidéos enregistrées sur la carte sd dans la dashcam, il faut absolument désactiver les données mobiles du téléphone
