It started as a light squeak and after a couple weeks of ignoring it turned into a screech so loud we stopped using it. Researched the issue on the google and sure nuff it's a common problem. I found the kit on the Maytag sight but bought it here because of the significant cost savings. The instructions are weak but that's my only complaint. I subtracted no stars because I had already found all the "how too's" I needed so there was no impact. After taking the dryer apart I determined it was the idler wheel that was causing the problem. I replaced everything, including the belt, anyway. The kit, nor the online vids, make no mention of greasing the spindles these wheels go on. When I removed the old ones the felt slick and after wiping them down they were not as slick, so I put a very thin film of synthetic, high temp, axle lube on them before putting the new wheels on. The wheels, and belt, inside my dryer were green. This kit's wheels and belt are red so no way to mix them up. I like that touch. Bottom line is that this kit is complete and as described and does the job wonderfully. The belt is snug but that's what you'd expect with a brand new one. It goes on just fine after you recreate the threading procedure in the videos I'm sure you watched. Btw, if you my model dryer the disassembly is even easier than the vids! You don't have to remove the control panel. There are two tabs, on the front of the dryer that hold the lid down. They're on the far ends. A flt screwdriver or putty knife is all you need to feel for them (they are WIDE) and push them in and lift the hinged lid up. The guts are now exposed and you can begin disconnecting the plugs and unscrewing what needs to be undone to release the barrel.Buy this kit if you have the screeching dryer problem. The job is not hard and if you have to do it a second time it'll go twice as fast. The dryer wheels disintegrated after 2 dryer loads. Luckily I still had the factory ones and put them back on. After 20 dryer loads the belt and pulley have failed. Ordered new ones direct from the manufacturer. Do not waste your money on these, they are worthless.
