I installed the blade unit with the special tool. No problems whatsoever. It looked like good quality stainless steel unit.

I don't know why, but Vitamix has never seen fit to sell these for their 64oz Low Profile pitcher. My pitcher is very sturdy. It's the bearing that invariably gives out first. I much prefer to change out the bearing and blade assembly, rather than replace the whole pitcher. This part was a perfect fit for my Vitamix 5300 with the aforementioned, low-profile pitcher. Its performance seems equal to the original bearing and blade, so it still does all the things that Vitamix is famous for.

My Vitamix was making a rough noise and stopped blending at high power. It was past its warranty and was too expensive to replace. My husband suspected it was the blade. We ordered this one, made a 3d tool to remove it from the blender pitcher, and viola! It is fixed!! Very pleased! This blade was exactly the same as the one removed from our Vitimax. AC3300.

For real this was Perfect! I thought I would have to but a whole new container but changing the blade did the trick. Easy to install, I had to 3D print a tool to get the old blade off as the Vitamix tool doesn't work for this series. But blade works great and I don't have any more issues. Will purchase again if needed.
